Match result and both teams to score betting tips for Easter Monday’s football with betting tips from the Championship, League One and League Two.
There’s a full schedule of action in the EFL this Easter Monday which means there’s more than enough fixtures for a dip into the score and win market. The straight accumulator bet comes in at a decent price of 44/1 with Coral. However, it’s always worth backing the doubles on these type of bets and you can still expect a decent return of 12/1 for the shortest priced pair on this particular occasion. We’ve hit five doubles over the last month, so it’s certainly worth considering.
Our opening selection for the BTTS win tip comes to us from The Championship and a crucial game at both ends of the table between Brighton and Wigan at 15:00. Chris Hughton’s side usurped Newcastle at the top of the table a few days ago and promotion to the Premiership now seems a formality. Brighton remain in excellent form having won six of their last seven and also boast the best home record in the whole division as well. Opponents, Wigan are fighting tooth and nail to keep themselves out of League One next season and back to back 3-2 wins have certainly done their chances the world of good. Whilst I don’t see them leaving the Amex with any points on Monday, seven goals in their last four games suggests they should at least be able to make the scoresheet. With that in mind, give this game the thumbs-up to get us started.
The second leg takes us to League One as Rochdale host Coventry at 15:00. The Dale desperately need the points in this one if they are to have any chance of forcing themselves into the playoff picture. Whilst their home record continues to be strong – the third best in the league – several poor results on the road look like they may well come back to haunt them at the end of the campaign. For Coventry, their late surge in form wasn’t good enough to prevent relegation to League Two at the weekend. Despite taking ten points from their last five games, The Sky Blues still remain ten points from safety and that just sums up how bad a season it has been for them. Whilst this recent run may be of some concern ahead of our bet this Monday, all of those points came at The Ricoh Arena and their away record remains terrible after only managing a paltry eight points on the road all season long. Considering five of Rochdale’s last six home games have ended in a BTTS outcome, though, have a punt on Coventry at least making the scoresheet.
Our final selection for the both teams to score and win tip comes to us from League Two as Plymouth take on Newport at 15:00 once again. I’ll be the first to admit that the hosts have been a notoriously unpredictable side this season and have probably been the single worst culprit for ruining my accumulators this year. Whilst Argyle have done the double over leaders Doncaster and taken points off all the top ten teams in the league, they have also been beaten by the likes of Leyton Orient and Yeovil as well, and it doesn’t get much more frustrating than that! Nevertheless, the gulf in points between themselves and Newport currently stands at 37 and surely that has to count for something! In addition to this, the corresponding match earlier in the campaign finished in a 3-1 Plymouth victory and the visitors are tied for 3rd in the League Two BTTS charts as well. This is certainly one of those boom or bust fixtures, for our bet’s sake, though, let’s hope it’s the former of the two.
