This weekend’s both teams to score and win tip is the usual big odds treble and our football tipster has given reasons for each selection and the best odds for the bet are below.
We’re down to the bare bones this weekend as most of the leagues around Europe begin to draw to a close. Nevertheless, we’ve done some digging and come up with three prime candidates to fill your weekly score and win bet. The straight accumulator tip comes in at tidy odds of 22/1 with William Hill, with an 8/1 price for the shortest priced pair is also on offer from the same bookmaker for anyone looking to back the doubles as well.
We’re off to the German Bundesliga for our opening selection on the BTTS and win tip as Augsburg welcome Dortmund to town at 14:30. This is an important fixture at both ends of the table, with the hosts looking to avoid relegation and their opponents looking to nail down an automatic Champions League position. Augsburg weren’t exactly done any favours by the fixture computer this year with their final two matches coming at home to Dortmund and away to Hoffenheim, but they do head into this weekend with a two point cushion over 16th Placed Hamburg. Dortmund started the season well, but a number of sloppy draws completely put paid to any hopes of a title push this campaign. Nevertheless, their BTTS record away from home has been absolutely superb over the course of the year and the visitors currently boast the joint highest strike-rate in the division at 81%. Considering Augsburg also command the second best home BTTS record at 62% as well, back Dortmund to edge this one with both teams making the scoresheet.
Our second choice for the football tip features the first leg play-off in the EFL Championship as Fulham take on Reading at 17:30. The Cottagers were absolute dynamite in the BTTS market over the second half of the season, registering 15 BTTS results from their last 17 matches and five BTTS victories from their final six as well. In addition to this, Fulham also finished the season as the joint highest scorers in the division and demolished Reading 5-0 at Craven Cottage earlier in the campaign. Jaap Stam’s side had an excellent season and their third placed was certainly a turn-up for the books considering their underwhelming start to the year. Despite having the second best home record in the division, though, The Royals weren’t quite as reliable on the road and they actually lost five of their last eight away from home. Although I’m sorely tempted to back the score draw here, I fancy Fulham to win this one with the pair both finding the net.
The anchor leg this weekend takes us across the pond to the MLS as Toronto FC face-off against Minnesota at 20:00. As most of the main leagues across Europe enter their final weeks, affairs in the USA are barely ten games in and last year’s beaten finalists Toronto have really begun to hit form over the last few weeks. The Canadian outfit are currently unbeaten at home this season and have now won their last five games on the bounce, with three of them coming via a BTTS outcome as well. Opponents, Minnesota are new to the MLS this year and that has certainly been reflected by some of their heavy defeats so far this campaign. Despite being fairly solid on home soil – like most in the USA – the visitors have only managed two points on their travels to date and have been on the end of 5-1, 4-2 and 5-2 thrashings to compound matters. With all these facts in mind, back this fixture to end in a BTTS victory for the hosts.
