Both Teams to Score Tips 9th January
Udinese v Inter Milan Tip
Our opening selection on the both teams to score tip comes to us from Serie A at 11:30 am as Udinese welcome Inter Milan to town. The hosts have been very reliable in the BTTS market over the last few months with eight of their last eleven matches finishing with both teams finding the net. In addition to this, Udinese have also managed to score in every home game bar one so far this season and played out a 3-1 defeat to Inter last time the two sides met at the end of the last campaign. I Nerazzurri are in pretty decent form of late – if you take their 3-0 drubbing in Napoli out of the equation – and have won their last five on the bounce in the San Siro. However, their away from continues to be patchy and Inter have only managed to one clean sheet in their last six matches on the road. With this in mind, hopefully this fixture will get us off to a winning start.
Genoa v Roma Tip
The second choice for this weekend football tip is from Serie A once again as free-scoring Roma travel to Genoa at 14:00. The hosts are the picture of inconsistency this season and simply cannot string any kind of form together so far this year. For every terrific 3-1 home victory against Juventus, there is a 3-4 home defeat to Palermo and I really wouldn’t be surprised with any kind of result creeping up this Sunday. The visitors were my main incentive for this matches’ inclusion, though, Roma have been plundering the goals so far this campaign and are currently the second highest scorers in the division behind Napoli. However, Totti and co are also prone to conceding sloppy goals at the other end of the pitch, with the likes of lowly Pescara, Cagliari and Palermo all managing to score multiple goals past them this season. Therefore, stick this one down as the next on the list.
Sassuolo v Torino Tip
The penultimate selection is another 14:00 kick off in Serie A as Sassoulo take on Torino. Based on the BTTS statistics in Italy at the moment, this match looks the pick of the bunch as it currently features the sides ranked six and first respectively in the BTTS charts. Sassoulo are struggling to replicate their fine 6th placed finish in the 2015/16 campaign and have only taken four points from their last eight games. The hosts have also got a pretty dreadful defensive record this season after conceding 33 goals from all their games to date and also only managing to keep one clean sheet in their last twelve matches as well. Opponents, Torino have generally been great value for a BTTS result this year with 72% of their matches finishing with both teams finding the net. The visitors are actually tied with Juventus for goals scored so far this campaign, but have only managed to keep two clean sheets in their last thirteen matches at the other end of the pitch which certainly highlights where they need to improve. Based on all these statistics, we should be set for another winner here.
Celta Vigo v Malaga Tip
Our final choice for the weekend football betting tip in the BTTS coupon comes to us from La Liga as Celta Vigo face off against Malaga at 17:30. Both of these two sides are very evenly matched on paper, and more importantly, have been churning out the BTTS results in recent weeks. Celta have seen six of their last eight matches finish with a BTTS outcome, as well as five out of their last six home matches as well. The hosts have a respectable goalscoring record – the same as their opponents on Sunday – but haemorrhage goals at the other end of the pitch after conceding 33 times in their 16 games so far this year. The visitors have a near identical BTTS record to Celta at the moment and have now seen seven of their last eight finish with both teams making it onto the scoresheet. More encouragingly, though, Malaga have also seen five of their last six matches away from home also end in BTTS results and even managed to score twice away to the notoriously defensive Athletico Madrid a couple of months ago. With all that being said, I would be very confident of a winning bet if there was just this fixture to come.
