The Champions League qualifying action ramps up on Wednesday, with plenty of action as sides fight for a place in the group stage. There's a few standout favourites at this early stage, and we think we've found four strong bets across Wednesday's games. We've put together a fourfold accumulator tip, which can be backed at 14/1 with William Hill.
A £10 bet on this fourfold returns £151, which isn't bad for a night's work. New William Hill customers can get £30 in free bets to use when they bet their first £10 stake. That means you can get a £30 risk free bet on our fourfold, which would return a massive £423. Below you can see our four picks, and our reasoning behind each.
Football Accumulator Tips 12th July
Malmo FF to win to nil vs FK Vardar
The Swedish side come in to this clash as heavy favourites to see off Vardar, with the visitors failing to win a Champions League game since 2003. That awful form should see them struggle to see of Malmo, which is why we're siding with the hosts. However, their recent European record points to a home win to nil in this clash.
Not only have Malmo kept a clean sheet in nine of their last 13 home Champions League games, but their recent record has been brilliant. They've conceded in just two of their last six at home, letting in goals against PSG and Real Madrid. They should easily be able to hold off Cardar's forward line, so we're backing a home win to nil here to kick off our Champions League accumulator.
Legia Warsaw to beat Mariehamn
Mariehamn are playing their first ever Champions League game, and just their third European match in their history. That immediately puts them at a disadvantage, as they are taking on a Legia side who were in the group stage last season. They tested the likes of Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Sporting last term, so Legia are a tough draw for any side in the qualifiers.
Legia were unbeaten in the qualifiers on the road last season, winning away in the third qulifying round and in Dublin against Dundalk in the play-off. We think they'll return to that form here, given the hosts' lack of European expereince. We're backing an away win for Legia in this one, who are heavy favourites for this tie.
FC Copenhagen to beat Zilina
Copenhagen are another side who are aiming to return to the group stage, after taking on Leicester and Porto last year. They pushed the Portuguese champions close in the fight for the last 16, so the Danes have to be favourites to claim a win when they travel to Zilina. The Slovakian side have been in awful form in preseason, shipping 13 goals in four friendlies against simialr opposition.
Meanwhile, Copenhagen claimed a draw at Porto and a win at Club Brugge in their group last season, so they can surely claim a win here. They can be backed at close to evens to claim a win in this clash, which looks like a banker. A win for the Danes is excellently priced in our opinion, so we've made it the third leg of our accumulator. Read our full Zilina vs Copenhagen betting tips article.
Dundalk to beat Rosenborg (Draw No Bet)
The Irish side head in to this clash on the back of a strong European campaign last year, which took them to the final qualifying round. Rosenborg crashed out a stage before Dundalk in both continental competitions last season, and the visitors aren't really in the best of form heading in to this crucial clash. They've lost five of their last seven Champions League games.
The Norweigan side have lost five straight away games in this competition, and we think the hosts are overpriced to claim a result in this one. We're backing a home win in the draw no bet market for our Champions League football accumulator tip, which seems like excellent value. That is the final leg of our Champions League accumulator. The hosts have won five straight matches to nil coming in to this game, so we expect them to get a result.
