Our first selection on the accumulator tip comes from La Liga as Celta Vigo host Malaga. The visitors parted company with manager Juande Ramos just before Christmas after a poor run of form. Marcelo Romero takes charge, but this is a tricky first assignment for the new coach. His side’s away form has been atrocious this season with five defeats from eight matches on the road. They have added some new recruits with Jack Harper and Adalberto Penaranda joining the club, but they can’t be expected to hit the ground running. Celta Vigo have won four of the last five home matches including a memorable 4-3 victory over Barcelona during that run and will be confident of securing all three points. They haven’t kept a clean sheet here this season, but they have plenty of goals in the side and should be able to get the better of the poor travellers.
Pescara have struggled throughout the campaign and they’ve lost Alberto Aquilani who joined Sassuolo on loan for the remainder of the season. Upon completing his transfer the former Liverpool man said ‘Pescara have issues. Serious off the field issues which I won’t talk about’. They also have plenty of problems on the field as they remain in the bottom three and haven’t ‘technically won’ yet this season. They gained three points by default with the Neoverdi fielding an ineligible player earlier in the season. They have gained Alberto Cerri from Juventus, but the tall striker is unlikely to change their fortunes on his own. The hosts have netted just once in their last four home matches and their defence has struggled to keep sides at bay. Fiorentina’s away form isn’t perfect, but they have beaten sides like Bologna, Empoli and Cagliari on their travels and all three of those sides sit above today’s opposition in the table.

Genoa isn’t an easy place to go, but the hosts have real problems in defence and conceded four to relegation-threatened Palermo recently. They’ve won just one of their last five games in all competitions and might find the visit of second place Roma a very difficult task. They’ve lost Tomas Rincon and Leonardo Pavoletti so far in the transfer window and manager Ivan Juric will have to juggle his starting XI as he looks for replacements. Roma tend to fare well here and have been dominant against Genoa winning 8 of the last 9 visits home and away. They’ve become harder to beat and have conceded just 4 goals in 5 away matches. They almost took something from the match with Juventus, but 1 goal was enough for the leaders to secure all three points.
We don’t know how strong a side Mauricio Pochettino will play for this tie with Championship outfit Aston Villa, but he is unlikely to take it lightly. Spurs are riding the crest of a wave at the moment and ended Chelsea’s winning streak on Wednesday with a comfortable 2-0 win. They have plenty of goals in the side and Dele Alli is in a purple patch. Even if the changes are made, the likes of Vincent Janssen and Son are still likely to impress. Villa don’t fare well on the road and travelling to White Hart Lane is far from an ideal draw for Steve Bruce’s men. Only one of Spur’s last nine home games in the FA Cup has fallen under 2.5 goals and they are unlikely to hold back. A replay won’t suit the North London outfit and they’ll do everything to get this sewn up in 90 minutes.
A short priced selection to end our footy accumulator tip and once again we’re delving into Serie A. AC Milan at home are always a reliable bet and they out of form Cagliari. The side from Sardinia are also poor travellers and have scored just a single goal away from home in four matches. They sprung a surprise 2-1 victory on Inter earlier in the season, but the Nerazurri were in a mess under former manager Frank De Boer and have since recovered. Cagliari couldn’t overcome struggling Pescara recently having to settle for a 1-1 draw. AC Milan have won three of their last five matches here, drawing the other two. They’ve even beaten Juventus here and should be a fairly safe bet to end the accumulator.
