There were suggestions that Sam Allardyce had lost his ability to motivate players when Crystal Palace were beaten 4-0 at Selhurst Park by Sunderland during early February, but the team responded by losing just 1-0 at Stoke in their next match before winning their next two games without conceding a goal. A more confident Palace outfit now faces a Watford team which surprisingly won 2-1 at Arsenal during January but which has collected just one other point on the road since the beginning of November. Just one Premier League clean sheet has been registered by the Hornets this year, and they face another away defeat.
Crystal Palace to beat Watford.
Although Hull beat Swansea 2-1 last weekend at the KCOM Stadium in a crucial relegation contest, they have earned just one point on their travels since the beginning of October when involved in a 0-0 stalemate with Manchester United last month. The Tigers visit an Everton team aiming for a sixth successive Premier League victory at Goodison with clean sheets registered in four of those previous home games. Arsenal and Manchester City are among teams beaten by the Toffees on Merseyside in recent months, and Hull may join the list.
Everton to beat Hull.
Ipswich have drawn each of their latest six Championship games although they needed a late Tom Lawrence equaliser to earn an undeserved point at Barnsley at the weekend. The Tractor Boys are now unbeaten in five league away matches with four of those games finishing in 1-1 draws, and they now travel to Cardiff with the hosts drawing three of their four previous games and conceding two late goals when earning a point apiece against Blackburn and Birmingham earlier this month. A draw between two mid-table teams is the likely outcome.
Cardiff to draw with Ipswich.
Rotherham are now awaiting the formality of relegation having lost their last six Championship matches and earning just one point on the road this season. The Millers have avoided defeat in only two games this year and travel to Loftus Road where they will face an improving QPR team. Rangers have won their last three home matches via 2-1 scorelines and have lost just once in six league outings while claiming a decent point at Leeds last weekend. Another defeat for Rotherham is expected.
QPR to beat Rotherham.
After suffering a 5-0 away defeat at Accrington Stanley in midweek, Leyton Orient slumped to the bottom of League Two. Orient have also lost six successive league games on home soil culminating in a 3-0 Saturday defeat by Grimsby, and they will host a Doncaster team beaten just once in league action this year with ten points accumulated from their latest four fixtures. Another defeat looms for the Orient.
Doncaster to beat Leyton Orient.
