Hull vs Watford betting tips and predictions ahead of this Premier League game, kicking off at 3pm on Saturday, 22nd April 2017. See our weekend Premier League betting preview below.
Can Hull continue their push for safety with a victory over Watford on Saturday? The Tigers are in fantastic form on their own patch, and they have a striker who should continue his great form with another goal. With a two-point cushion over the bottom three, Hull could be feeling very comfortable by Saturday evening.
The turnaround in Hull’s form since Marco Silva took charge is quite staggering. Not only has he lifted them from bottom to 17th, but he’s established a fortress at the KCOM. The Tigers are unbeaten at home in all competitions since the turn of the year. They’ve won seven of their last eight at home, and that should help them to a victory on Saturday.
Given that Watford have lost nine of their 15 away trips, losing to nil in their last three, we aren’t giving them much hope this weekend. The visitors have little to play for, and they’ve earned their current position through strong home form. The Hornets have claimed 70% of their points so far at Vicarage Road. We’re backing a home win in our first Hull vs Watford prediction, which seems brilliantly priced at 19/20 with Paddy Power.
Hull’s home form has helped their on-loan striker flourish. Oumar Niasse has been turned from Everton reject in to a quality Premier League player by Silva. The forward has hit five goals in his last six at the KCOM, scoring in crucial wins over Liverpool, Swansea and Middlesbrough. We’re backing him to find the target once again in our second Hull vs Watford betting tip, which is priced at 7/4 with Sky Bet.
Hull continue to be plagued by injury concerns, but Marco Silva has no new absentees. He has quite a few options available up top, but we think he’ll continue with Niasse given his excellent form. Watford are without Mauro Zarate, who would have boosted their blunt attack.
Hull have won three of their last five at home to Watford, scoring 10 times across those five encounters.
Watford’s poor form should cost them in this trip, along with the fact that they’ve failed to score in 53% of their Premier League trips. Hull are looking good all over the pitch, and we think they can record a comfortable victory when the Hornets come to town. Our final Hull vs Watford prediction is a 2-0 win for the hosts, which is priced at 17/2 with Bet Victor.
