Rangers v Hibernian predictions and betting tips ahead of this Scottish Premiership clash, kicking off at 3pm on Saturday, 12th August 2017. Can the Gers claim a home win and make it two wins from two in the league?
After claiming a huge midweek victory in the League Cup, Rangers will be looking to build on that momentum on Saturday. They host Hibs in the biggest Premiership game of the weekend, and you can see our preview and free betting tips below.
Rangers are brimming after their 6-0 League Cup victory in midweek, while they looked really impressive in their 2-1 win at Motherwell last weekend. While they can’t make an impact in the Europa League this term, they could do really well in the Premiership. After a strong home record last season, we expect them to make short work of Hibs, so we’re backing over 1.5 home team goals in our first Rangers v Hibernian prediction. That’s priced at 4/5 with bet365, which seems like great value.
However, with Hibs hitting five of their own in midweek, we think they’ll be able to get a goal at Ibrox. Neil Lennon’s side hit three against Partick in their opening league match of the season, and they should follow that up with a goal here. We’re backing both teams to score in our second Rangers v Hibernian prediction at 3/4 with Ladbrokes.
Expect to see a similar Rangers side to the one which beat Motherwell in the opening weekend.
Both teams have scored in five of the last six meetings between these two sides.
One of the Gers’ most impressive signings is Graham Dorrans, who made a big impact with two goals against Motherwell. We think he’ll make a great impression at Ibrox this term, and we expect him to get another goal here. Our final Rangers v Hibernian prediction is Dorrans to score the first goal, which is a huge 15/2 with William Hill.
Both teams to score – 3/4 with Ladbrokes
Over 1.5 Rangers goals – 4/5 with Bet365
Graham Dorrans to score first – 15/2 with William Hill
