Real Madrid vs Barcelona betting tips and predictions ahead of this La Liga clash, kicking off at 7.45pm on Sunday, 22nd April 2017. See our betting preview and live stream access below.
We’ve had a fantastic week of sport so far, which rounds off with El Clasico on Sunday night. The clash in the Bernabeu has to be the highlight of the weekend, with these two sides fighting for the Spanish title. Could this be the game which seals top spot for Real?
It was a mixed week in Europe for Spain’s big two. Real lost 2-1 to Bayern in 90 minutes, but progressed in extra time. Meanwhile, Barca were shut out at home to Juventus, leaving them with a 3-0 aggregate defeat. That means the Catalans will be completely focused on taking the league title, but they’re already three points off Real having played a game more.
Zinedine Zidane knows his side can take a comprehensive lead at the top of La Liga with a win on Sunday night. Their hopes of recording a victory have been boosted by Barca’s poor record on the road. The Catalans have lost four of their last six trips in all competitions. Their record in big away trips has been awful, losing at Manchester City, PSG and Juventus in the Champions League, conceding 10 goals across those three.
We’re backing a win for the leaders in our first Real Madrid vs Barcelona El Clasico prediction. The European champions are in excellent form, which makes their price of 11/10 with Betfred worth backing.
Real also have an in-form Cristiano Ronaldo to back them up, fresh from his hat-trick on Tuesday. On top of that, he’s found the net in three of his last five Clasicos. We’re backing him to score any time at 8/11 with Sky Bet in our second Real Madrid v Barcelona betting tip.
Barcelona have Neymar suspended for this clash, while Javier Mascherano is injured. Real are missing Pepe and Raphael Varane at the back, while they’re going to have to deal without Gareth Bale.
Madrid have won three of the last six matches between these two at the Bernabeu. Barcelona should be confident of getting a goal, seeing as they’ve scored in their last 14 visits to this ground.
Given Barca’s scoring record here, it’s worth backing them to find the net on Sunday. While both teams to score doesn’t seem like great value, it’s worth considering Real Madrid to win and BTTS at 21/10 with Bet365. Our final El Clasico betting tip is a 3-1 victory for the leaders, considering how poor Barcelona have been on the road. That’s priced at 14/1 with Betfair.
Cristiano Ronaldo to score any time – 8/11 with Sky Bet.
Real Madrid to win – 11/10 with Betfred.
Real Madrid to win 3-1 – 14/1 with Betfair.
