Both teams to score betting tips for this weekend’s matches with predictions for four BTTS matches across Sunday’s European fixtures.
We’ve picked out four matches from Sunday’s fixture list which will hopefully see both teams find the back of the net. Our both teams to score tips come from a variety of leagues across Europe.
Newcastle v Spurs – BTTS
Spurs are on their travels on the opening day of the season and the long journey to St James Park. The last time these sides met here it ended 5-1 to the Magpies on the final day of the 2015/16 season. It’s been a frustrating season for both of these teams in the transfer market but Pochettino has promised further additions. They are struggling at right back with the sale of Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier injured and it’s an area that Newcastle could exploit. Spurs weren’t as effective on their travels last season but they always have a goal in them and golden boot winner Harry Kane will want to get off the mark here in the North East. BTTS has landed in the last four Premier League meetings between these sides.
Dijon v Monaco – BTTS
Monaco started their defence of the Ligue 1 title in spectacular style last week but they made hard work of it. They came from behind twice to win 3-2 displaying their superior firepower but also proving there are problems at the back. Travelling to Dijon doesn’t strike the fear into many teams but the host should grab a goal at least here. It ended 1-1 here last season and Monaco’s back-line appeared very generous last weekend. PSG are in action a few hours later and the visitors will be keen not to drop points here. Dijon were hammered 3-0 at Marseille last weekend but they are more efficient at home.
Stromsgodset v Lillestrom – BTTS
Stromsgodset have hit a bit of form in the Norwegian top flight and they won 2-0 against Molde on Monday night. They are scoring goals and looking confident in front of goal. They sit 12th in the table but have the 4th best home form and will be a stiff challenge for the visitors Lillestrom. They may have presided over back to back clean sheets but at home they’ve conceded in four of their last five matches. Lillestrom are full of goals and are unbeaten in four matches having hit 9 goals in that period. Their last three matches have ended 2-2, 2-2 and 3-3.
Zenit St Petersburg v Akhmat Grozny – BTTS
Zenit have started well under Roberto Mancini and sit top of the Russian Premier League. They are unbeaten in their five matches so far and have netted 11 times. They are very strong at home and beat last season’s Champions Spartak Moscow 5-1 here just last week. They also faced Kazan and conceded in a 2-1 victory against Berdeyev’s side. Akhmat Grozny have just tailed off after a positive start and have lost back to back matches 3-2. They can’t seem to keep sides out but they do possess a real threat going forward. They’ve won two of their last three visits to St Petersburg so they’ll be confident of getting on the scoresheet at least.
