Reasons for this Weekend’s BTTS Tips

Charlton created one of the surprise midweek results when winning at Nottingham Forest and their Championship game against regular scorers Blackburn features in this BTTS Accumulator. Rejuvenated League Two team Grimsby are also covered as they host improving Morecambe while top four outfits Plymouth and Crewe clash at Home Park. The final selection involves useful home team Barnet welcoming second-place Harrogate in the National League.

Charlton vs Blackburn Betting Tip – BTTS

When beaten 3-1 at Stoke on Saturday, Charlton’s hopes of avoiding a Championship relegation battle were dented but those fears were eased when the influential Lyle Taylor scored the only goal in an impressive midweek win at Nottingham Forest. The Addicks may still occupy a lowly position in the league table but they have failed to net in just three games since mid-December and they now host a Blackburn outfit which regained their form in front of goal by beating Hull 3-0 on Tuesday evening. A 1-0 weekend home defeat by Fulham was the first occasion in which Rovers had failed to find the net in nine competitive outings.

Grimsby vs Morecambe Betting Tip – BTTS

The recent arrival of Ian Holloway as manager has helped Grimsby return to the goal trail with an impressive 3-2 midweek victory at Colchester extending their current unbeaten sequence to four League Two matches. Eleven goals have also been netted by the Mariners in their last five league games and they now welcome a Morecambe team which has netted in eight consecutive league fixtures as they bid to stay clear of the relegation zone. Two wins in four matches with two goals scored per game is also a positive sign for the visitors.

Plymouth vs Crewe Betting Tip – BTTS

Very late winners are now becoming a feature of Crewe performances and their two latest 2-1 victories were attributable to 90th+ minute strikes. Alexandra have also netted twice in winning their last four League Two contests and have scored in each of their competitive games since the end of November. However, a Saturday visit to Plymouth will not be easy with the hosts sealing a late 3-2 midweek win against Salford after disappointing at Colchester on Saturday. Argyle had previously netted in each of their league games this year.

Barnet vs Harrogate Betting Tip – BTTS

When beaten 2-0 on home soil by Wrexham during late January, Harrogate failed to find the net for the first time in twenty-seven competitive fixtures. The North Yorkshire outfit have subsequently scored in three further matches including a midweek 3-0 victory against Yeovil and they now face a trip to Barnet where the hosts can be difficult to beat at the Hive. Unbeaten since mid-November at the venue, the Bees have scored at least twice in winning their last three home games including the 3-0 defeat of National League leaders Barrow.
