Arsenal vs Aston Villa predictions and betting tips for the Premier League match on Sunday 14th April with a 9/2 bet on the match. This one is arguably the game of the weekend as Arsenal host an Aston Villa side desperate to pip the Gunners North London rivals Spurs to fourth place, while Arteta’s side look to stay on the front foot in the title chase. I think Villa will put up a real fight here, but I do think there’s more chance of a home win, so I’m backing Arsenal or draw – double chance. Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 10 league matches, drawing one against Man City in that time and winning the other nine. In those 10 matches, they have conceded just four goals, keeping a clean sheet in seven. Villa are also in decent form, with a win, a draw and a defeat to Man City in their last three. I’m confident this selection will land.

As I stated previously, this one has the potential to be the game of the weekend. Despite Arsenal’s outstanding clean sheet record, I think they’ll have to go for it early on here against a very strong Villa side. While that means they’ll have a lot of chances and are more than likely to score at least one themselves, they will leave themselves open at the back as well. I think both teams to score has a great chance here. Villa’s captain John McGinn is never shy when it comes to getting stuck in and has been brilliant for Villa so far this season. He plays with an abundance of passion, and he and the rest of his side will know that a defeat here will mean an uphill battle to top four. So far this season, McGinn has made 29 Villa appearances in the league, picking up seven bookings in the process. He has made 36 fouls in that time, an average of above one per game. I think he is good odds for a booking in this one against a very strong Arsenal side.
