The Blues had a lot of players away in Qatar for the World Cup, but they’re back to Premier League action now and they’ll be keen to kick their season in to gear and climb further up the table. They currently lie in eighth, eight points outside of the top four. I expect them to get off to a good start following the mid-season break and beat Bournemouth in this one. Bournemouth are probably where many would expect them to be, lying just three points above the relegation zone. They’ve lost four of their last five Premier League fixtures and I expect Chelsea to pick up all three points in this one as they look to leapfrog Brighton and Liverpool.

 

Raheem Sterling to score

Raheem Sterling put on a couple of decent displays at the Qatar World Cup, despite having to leave half way to fly home to England for a family emergency. He did return to the England camp though, and throughout the tournament he made two starts and one sub appearance, bagging himself one goal along the way. He has scored three Premier League goals so far this season, averaging 1.67 shots per game. He will have a couple of decent chances in this one, and I think he will take one against a Bournemouth side who have conceded more goals than any other Premier League side, having shipped 32 in just 15 games.

 

Philip Biling to be booked

Philip Biling will be in for a difficult afternoon with his potential opponents being Mateo Kovacic and  Jorginho, two very talented midfielders. The Bournemouth midfielder has collected one card so far this season, averaging 0.86 fouls per game. I expect him to be forced into making a number of fouls in this one with his side expected to be on the back foot for most of the 90 minutes. In the Championship last season, he picked up 13 cards in the league, so I think another Premier League card is overdue. Taking him to be booked adds excellent value to this bet builder.
