Chelsea to win

Chelsea made a decent return to life in the Premier League following the World Cup, with a 2-0 win over Bournemouth last time out at Stamford Bridge. I’m backing them to get back-to-back wins as they travel to take on Nottingham Forest in this one. Forest are recently promoted, and they’re definite relegation candidates already, lying just one point above the bottom of the league. They’ve won just three games this season, drawing four and losing nine of their 16 Premier League matches. I expect Chelsea to win this one comfortably.

 

Kai Havertz to score

Despite Germany failing to progress from the group stages in the World Cup, Kai Havertz gave a decent account of himself with two goals in one start and one substitute appearance. He has since made a goalscoring return to life at Chelsea, bagging last time out against Bournemouth and taking his tally to four Premier League goals for the season in 12 starts and two substitute appearances. He averages 2.26 shots per match and I expect him to have a number of chances here against lowly Nottingham Forest, who have conceded the second most goals in the league this season, shipping 33 goals in just 16 games. I think taking Havertz to score adds excellent value.

 

Emmanuel Dennis to be booked

Emmanuel Dennis has made just three Premier League starts this season, making seven substitute appearances on top of that. Despite not playing a lot of minutes for Forest, he already has two bookings to his name this season. Should he start in this one, I think there’s a great chance of him collecting his third card of the season. He may grow frustrated with lack of service from his teammates as Chelsea are likely to dominate possession, and I won’t be shocked to see him jump in to a late tackle or two as he looks to close down defenders. Look out for the team sheets and, should he start, I think he is excellent value for a card. He is likely to come on if he is on the subs bench, so if you don’t place him in the bet builder from the start, he may be worth an in-play bet.
