Our PSG vs Newcastle betting tips for the Champions League group stage match include PSG to win at odds fo 11/20, a player to have a shot on target and a Newcastle player to get a yellow card.
The last time these two met, Newcastle came away from Paris with a draw, following a 4-1 win at St James’ Park one month prior. I expect an excellent game between them on Wednesday evening.
PSG are sixth in the Champions League with four wins, one draw and two defeats from their seven Champions League matches. They’re two points clear at the top of Ligue 1.
Newcastle have the same record in the Champions League as Wednesday’s opponents and are level on points and on goal difference. The Magpies are ninth in the Premier League, five points outside of the top four.

PSG vs Newcastle Prediction – PSG to win
PSG haven’t beaten Newcastle in their two Champions League matchups so far, with a draw and a win for Newcastle in their games back in late 2023. However, I think they’ll win this one against Eddie Howe’s side. PSG have won seven of their last 10 matches in all competitions, losing only two matches from 19 in Ligue 1. Newcastle have won four, drawn three and lost three in their last 10 in all competitions. They lost last time they played in France, being defeated 2-1 by Marseille back in November. I think the Parisians will win this one.
PSG Shots on Target Tip – Ousmane Dembele over 0.5 shots on target
Ousmane Dembele has had a solid season in front of goal so far, with eight goals in 19 appearances in all competitions for PSG. Only one of those goals have come in the Champions League, having made four appearances in this competition, and he will be looking to add to his tally on Wednesday evening. PSG should create plenty of chances here, and I expect a few of them to fall to Dembele. I think he will have at least one shot on target.
ALTERNATIVE BET – Ousmane Dembele over 1.5 shots on target @ 5/4
Taking Dembele to have one extra shot on target at 5/4 boosts the odds of this bet builder to 24/1 with Bet MGM. When he’s up for it, he’s really up for it, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him have a couple of shots on target against Newcastle.
Newcastle Shots on Target Tip – Harvey Barnes over 0.5 shots on target (9/10)
Newcastle winger Harvey Barnes has had a very impressive season so far. He has bagged 12 goals in all competitions, with five in the Premier League, five in seven in the Champions League and two in the FA Cup. 10 of his 13 shots in the Champions League have been on target, giving him an average of over one shot on target per game. Eddie Howe’s side might be limited to chances here, but I expect them to get a couple, and Barnes will be there or there about as he looks to add to his impressive Champions League goal tally.
BEST BET BUILDER TIP – Sandro Tonali to be booked @ 7/2
Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali has been carded five times in all competitions this season, with three in the Premier League, one in the Champions League and one in the Carabao Cup. He has made 10 fouls in six Champions League appearances, giving him an average of just under 1.5 fouls per match in this competition. It’ll be a difficult 90 minutes for him here against a strong PSG midfield, and I think 7/2 is very generous odds for him to be carded.
