Liverpool are in a terrible run of form and will be looking to get back to winning ways this weekend, as they travel to London to take on West Ham United.
Liverpool have lost seven of their last 10 matches in all competitions, and have won only one of their last seven in the Premier League. They are 12th in the Premier league after 12 matches played.
West Ham have had a very poor fart and are level on points with Leeds, who occupy 18th place – within the relegation zone. The Hammers have won just three of their 12 league matches so far this season.

Backing West Ham to beat Liverpool isn’t a regular occurrence, but the Reds seem to be in the midst of a crisis under Arne Slot at the moment. After a great start to the season, in which they were top of the league after six games, they have fell apart. Since being top in September, they have lost six league matches and find themselves in 12th with 18 points from 12 matches. West Ham are on their best run of the season and are unbeaten in three, with wins over Newcastle and Burnley and a draw which came last time out away to Bournemouth. I think they’ll keep up their good form and win their third home match on the bounce.

Given Liverpool’s poor form, I really don’t think they’ll win this one away from home. 11/10 for backing West Ham to either win or draw is decent value, and makes this bet builder slightly safer.

West Ham have conceded 25 goals in 12 league matches, with the only team with a worse defensive record being bottom of the table Wolves, who have conceded 27. I think both teams to score is a good shout in this one.

Jarrod Bowen has three Premier League goals to his name this season in 12 appearances, and is West Ham’s second top scorer behind Callum Wilson. In those 13 matches he has had 28 shots, 12 of which have been on target, giving him an average of exactly one shot on target per game. I think West Ham will create numerous chances here at home against a Liverpool side who have conceded 10 goals in their last three matches in all competitions, and six in their last two in the league. He’s good odds for at least one shot on target here.
Alexis Mac Allister to be booked (10/3)
Alexis Mac Allister has been carded twice in all competitions for Liverpool this season – once in the Premier League and once in the Champions League. The Argentine is never one for shying out of a 50/50, and I expect him to get stuck in as usual here. He has made nine fouls in his 11 Premier League appearances this season, giving him an average of just under one foul per game. He’s made four fouls in five Champions League appearances and one in one in the Carabao Cup, so his average is consistent across all competitions. Liverpool are desperate to regain their early season form and ease pressure on manager Arne Slot, so their players will be fighting from the off. I expect there to be plenty of fouls in this one, and Mac Allister is good odds to pick up his third card of the season.
