Sheffield United are in an excellent run of form, going unbeaten in their last 14 fixtures in all competitions. The Blades lie second in the Championship and have an excellent chance of promotion, as they lie five points behind top of the table Burnley but 13 ahead of third placed Watford. Wrexham are of the National League, and although they’re going well in that, there will be a clear gulf in class between these two. The Welsh side did pull off a fine result against Coventry in the last round, but I think Sheffield United will have too much for them in this one and I expect them to progress to the next round comfortably.

Oliver Norwood has played each of Sheffield United’s 28 Championship fixtures this season and he has picked up a number of cards along the way. The 31-year-old midfielder has picked up five bookings in the league so far this season, averaging 0.69 fouls per game throughout. I expect this fixture to be slightly more gritty and scrappy than Sheffield United are used to, and I think they will need to be very physical to ensure they can control the game, keep possession and keep Wrexham away from being able to employ pressure against them. I think Norwood will make a couple of fouls in what will be a physical encounter, and I think there’s a good chance of him collecting a booking for his troubles.
