13/1 Football League Treble Tip – Three Picks to win £70 & get a £5 Free Bet

Burnley Attendance

This week’s Saturday Football League tips cover the Championship and League One and a £5 bet returns £70 if it’s winner, you will also get a £5 free bet if you use this welcome offer.

With a couple of interrupted weeks due to the death of her Majesty, the much hated International Break, and even rail strikes, it’s good to get a full list of fixtures again to attack and get right into.

Nothing took my fancy last weekend so I had a break myself and hope to come out all guns blazing here.

Burnley to beat Cardiff – 7/5

I’m hoping Burnley aren’t the victims of a new manager bounce this weekend in the Welsh capital. Vincent Kompany’s side take on Cardiff with interim manager Mark Hudson, following the sacking of Steve Morrison before the International break.

I think Burnley are a good price to win here regardless of the managerial change. Burnley are the 2nd top scorers in the championship whereas Cardiff only sit above Preston in the goals scored table and I think those numbers will make it difficult for Cardiff to get anything from this game.

Burnley need to turn draws into wins (5 already so far) if they are going to keep pace with Sheffield United at the top and that’s what I expect them to do here. It won’t be easy for Burnley and under a different message and manager I’m predicting Cardiff will have their moments but I anticipate Burnley going back to Lancashire on Saturday night with all 3 points on board.

Ipswich v Pompey Draw – 5/2

The top 4 met each other a few weeks ago and although those games had goals, twists & turns, and everything else in between, they ended in draws and that’s exactly what I expect to happen here. 3rd place Pompey travel to 2nd place Ipswich and I’m anticipating a draw in this. After Ipswich lost for the first time last weekend at table toppers Plymouth Argyle, Pompey remain the only unbeaten team in League One and I’m backing them to keep that run going by picking up a point here. They’ve taken points off Plymouth, Wednesday and Peterborough already this season and I expect Ipswich to be added to that.

Ipswich have started the season well but have played 4 of the other teams in the top 6 and haven’t won 1 (3 draws and a defeat) and that puts greater faith for me believing that this ends up all square here.

Bolton to beat Lincoln City –  3/5

Bolton are a team that play with my heartstrings and have twice let me down on my football betting tips this season but I think it’s 3rd time lucky here on Saturday. The market has them short enough to beat a Lincoln side who have beat Derby and put 6 past Bristol Rovers in their last 2 games, but I’m happy to be backing them again.

Lincoln’s win at Bristol Rovers was a crazy game and with Rovers not having 1 fit Centre Back in their starting 11 and on a run of poor form, I won’t be reading too much into that game from a form perspective.

Bolton have started the season well and sit in the playoff places, where I expect them to stay for the majority of the season.

4 wins from 5 home games (the other being a loss to 4th place Sheffield Wednesday) represents solid form and I’m happy to back them to make that 5 from 6 this weekend.
