23/1 Accumulator Tip for Saturday – Turn £10 into £240 with this 5-fold Acca
Saturday’s win accumulator tip starts with the Old Firm at 12.30pm before the rest of the matches all kick-off at 3pm. If you want to avoid the early kick-off curse then leave Celtic out the bet and your 4-fold will be around 11/1.
Nottingham Forest have pretty much bought a new squad in the summer transfer window and they see how it all comes together against Bournemouth this weekend. Newcastle were unlucky at Anfield in midweek and are tipped to beat Crystal Palace on Saturday. The bookies have them priced at over Evens to win which is a surprise and does seem generous despite Palace’s decent start.
We drop into the Championship and League One for the last two coupon tips this Saturday including another nod for Sheffield Wednesday, who also form part of our Saturday football tips from League One which was published earlier.
Nottingham Forest to beat Bournemouth
Forest made their 20th (!) signing of the transfer window on Thursday’s deadline day, and looks set to make it 22 once Serge Aurier and Loic Bade sign.
Their squad will take some time to gel, but there will be no better chance to change that against a beleaguered Bournemouth.
No manager, no goals in four games and a lack of summer signings to work with has given Cherries fans little to cheer about; and when they set sail to the City Ground on Saturday, home fans will be as boisterous as ever as they aim to claim all three points.
Newcastle to beat Crystal Palace
At a price above evens, Newcastle are a side that bookies may underestimate throughout the season.
Three goals against Manchester City, a win in their opening game against Nottingham Forest and they were very unlucky not to take at least a point against Liverpool in midweek.
That being said, the Magpies face a strong side in Palace, who are in a strong spell of goalscoring form themselves; but the Eagles have conceded in every game they’ve been in, and Alexander Isak’s introduction into the side will spur St. James’ Park into pandemonium.
Norwich to beat Coventry
Coventry’s lack of game time seems to be catching up with them. Their pitch continues to be ravaged by the Commonwealth games, resulting in postponements galore – and they only made a return to the Ricoh Arena in midweek with a 1-0 home loss to Preston.
Norwich, meanwhile, are on a high with four league wins in a row. Dean Smith’s men have finally found their groove after a shambolic start and seem destined to make it five in a row against the Sky Blues at Carrow Road.
Sheffield Wednesday to beat Barnsley
Likewise, the Owls are flying this year and face a south Yorkshire derby against the Tykes on Saturday afternoon.
Bar a 2-0 loss at Peterborough last month, Darren Moore’s men have scored in each of their league ties this season and won four of their five games at home in all competitions.
Barnsley cannot boast a similar record; they sit 16th and have accrued just two wins from their opening six third-tier games, including no wins away from Oakwell. This one almost feels like a formality.
Celtic to beat Rangers
Celtic are hoping to extend their 100 per cent unbeaten record against their bitter rivals at Celtic Park on Saturday lunchtime; and being in the form of their life, it is hard to see anything other than a Celtic win despite the challenge that Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men pose.
The Hoops have only conceded once so far in the league this season, and recorded an outstanding 9-0 win against Dundee United which saw Jack Ross sacked earlier this week.
And under Ange Postecoglou’s brilliance where they won 3-0 in the last ‘competitive’ outing at Parkhead back in February, fans will be expecting to see the same again this time out.
