Are Swansea City really too good to go down this season?
Although no minor miracles were expected of Garry Monk and his often impressive Swansea City outfit at the start of the 2015/16 campaign, few ever expected the plucky Welsh club to be entering the second half of the season within the midst of a clear relegation dog-fight.
The Swans certainly saw their fortunes improve somewhat after defeating Everton last time out in the league, but as the recently appointed Francesco Guidolin still has an important job on his hands at the Liberty Stadium this season, now is no time for complacency down in South Wales.
So then, in light of Swansea City’s undoubted loss of form in recent outings this term, are this team really too good to go down in 2015/16?
Well, despite remaining a mere four points off the drop zone right in the here and now, many football fans have nonetheless taken a rather optimistic stance over Swansea’s potential relegation fears this season…
Can't believe people were daft enough to even contemplate swansea being relegated

…even if some seemingly haven’t yet gotten over the somewhat abrupt nature of Garry Monk’s recent departure from the Liberty Stadium…
Still hope Swansea get relegated for sacking Monk.

The vast majority of Premier League onlookers out there just can’t quite seem to picture the Swans ever getting relegated at the end of the day…
Decent win for Swansea today tbf, they're too good to down IMO, plenty worse teams than them in the league.

…and if this latest January acquisition is to hit the ground running among the English top-flight this season…
It's official, Alberto Paloschi is a Swansea City player! pic.twitter.com/FyAkzzZv7U

…many fans of other struggling Premier League sides are seemingly right to be fearful…
With Swansea winning, the situation really is getting worse, but we have to stop relying on other teams, it really isn't good enough! #avfc

So then, even though a few potential hiccups possibly still await those down at the Liberty Stadium in 2015/16…
Swansea offloading Ayew to relegation rivals Sunderland to get Borini in return nearly breaks every 'Transfer Don't' in the book
— Ben Cuzzupe (@BenCuzzupe) January 21, 2016
…it seems as if Swansea City are in fact too good to go down at this particular stage in the proceedings…
Will Swansea stay up? #Swans #SCFC
