Peterborough vs Burton Tip – both teams to score.

The League One promotion playoffs remain the target for Peterborough and they recovered from a poor 3-0 defeat at Walsall last Saturday by surprising Portsmouth at Fratton Park in earning a 3-2 victory. Posh had netted in six previous outings prior to that setback at Walsall but now face a Burton outfit which beat both Barnsley and Luton last month and has netted in ten consecutive league games. Both teams have scored in six of the last seven games contested by the Brewers.

 

Shrewsbury vs Walsall Tip – both teams to score

Despite claiming an impressive 3-0 home win against Peterborough last weekend, Walsall still need points from this game to retain their League One status. The Saddlers can be a frustrating team and have lost their last four away matches, but they have failed to net just twice in ten previous outings. Hosts Shrewsbury have avoided relegation after a difficult season but they can be a reliable outfit in front of goal having netted in nine of their ten prior fixtures, and were denied only by Portsmouth in those games.

 

Forest Green Rovers vs Exeter Betting Tip – both teams to score

Automatic promotion is now an impossibility for Forest Green Rovers and a very late 4-3 loss at Crewe last weekend dented those ambitions. Rovers will now contest the playoffs, but it should also be noted that they  have netted in every home fixture this year ahead of the visit of an Exeter team needing at least a point to have any hope of claiming a top seven finish. The Grecians should be confident of obtaining a result after scoring in ten successive league matches.

 

MK Dons vs Mansfield Betting Tip – both teams to score.

The battle to claim automatic promotion from League Two goes to the wire with third and fourth placed teams Mansfield and MK Dons respectively locked together on the same points total. The latter outfit have lost their last two games including a very late 2-1 home defeat by Stevenage last Saturday but they failed to net just once since the beginning of March. Meanwhile, a 2-0 defeat at Colchester was a setback for the Dons but only Lincoln have prevented them from scoring on home soil since the onset of February.
