Check out today’s transfer rumours and news below:

We’re going to split our transfer news into three sections:

Completed Deal – the deal is done and the team have got their man.

Rumour – it could happen, but there is still a lot of work to be done.

Gossip – somebody has started a whisper and it looks a long way off being a done deal.

Chelsea RUMOUR: Maurizio Sarri to Juventus

The on-going management saga at Chelsea could take a step to conclusion today with Sky Italia reporting that Juventus have agreed a settlement package with Chelsea for their manager Sarri. This would leave the door open for a big name to enter the Chelsea dressing room but it seems as though Max Allegri won’t be the next Chelsea manager after he said he’d take a year out from management.

Arsenal GOSSIP: Lucas Torreira to leave?

After 12 months at the Emirates Stadium, Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira has admitted he is finding life in England tough. Speaking ahead of the Copa America he said, “I don’t know if there are many things that I enjoy. I think I had a better time in Italy.”

“England is a totally different world. The language (barrier) has stopped me being able to relate with my team-mates and the people. It is very difficult when you can’t have dialogue.

“And then there is the weather. You go out in the morning and it is cloudy, you arrive at your house in the afternoon and it is cloudy.

“We are from here (Uruguay) and we are used to always – or almost always – having the sun. But as the years go by, I’m going to adapt.”

Leicester & Wolves GOSSIP: James Tarkowski

Both Leicester and Wolves have today been linked with a move for Burnley’s centre back James Tarkowski. The Foxes are preparing themselves for bids for Harry Maguire this summer and Tarkowski is reportedly a name that Brendan Rodgers has earmarked as a replacement for his international team-mate. With Wes Morgan coming towards the end of his career Leicester look light at the back.

Wolves need to bolster their squad with a European adventure to come and Tarkowski would fit the bill.

Man United COMPLETED DEAL: Daniel James to Manchester United

Fee: £15 million.

The first big Premier League transfer deal of the summer has happened at Old Trafford, with Swansea youngster Daniel James joining the club. Ryan Giggs has said that he is one of the quickest players he has ever seen play so the exciting winger will be a threat to defences.

He is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first Manchester United signing and they will need a few more if they are to get back into the top 4!

Sheffield United GOSSIP: Franck Ribery to Sheffield United

This is up there with one of the strangest Premier League transfer rumours ever. Newly promoted Sheffield United are apparently considering making free agent Franck Ribery an offer to join the club. It sounds like a rumour out of nowhere though and it will be a miracle if they can pull this off. Stronger rumours suggest Ribery will play out the last games of his career in Qatar or Australia.

Barcelona RUMOUR: Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona

Before the end of the 2018/19 season, French forward Antoine Griezmann told Atletico Madrid he wants to leave this summer and that put long time admirers Barcelona on high alert. A deal was almost completed for the player 12 months ago but now it seems as though Barca have got their man, with the Atletico CEO confirming that Griezmann will join Barcelona this summer.

Manchester United GOSSIP: Antoine Griezmann to Manchester United

Off the back of the news yesterday, Manchester United have now been linked with a last gasp bid to get Griezmann to Old Trafford. It is a deal that looks very unlikely to happen given that United aren’t in the Champions League, but they are rumoured to be willing to table a £95 million bid in an attempt to lure the World Cup winner to Manchester. It’s just another one of the Manchester United transfer rumours doing the rounds this summer!

Liverpool RUMOUR: Nabil Fekir to Liverpool

After the deal looked to be back on yesterday, now it is off again. The will he won’t he transfer saga that ran and ran 12 months ago was back in the newspapers yesterday, however this evening the news is that Liverpool have no plans to sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon.

Liverpool pulled out of the deal at the 12th hour last season over concerns of a long standing knee injury so it is unlikely they’ll go back in the market for him, contrary to reports in France.

Everton RUMOUR: Moise Kean to Everton

Reports broke today that Everton have contacted Serie A winners Juventus over the possibly transfer of striker Moise Kean. The Blues are in the market for a centre forward and the youngster would fit the bill perfectly, however it is unlikely he would swap Turin for the Blue half of Merseyside with no European football. The 19 year old scored 17 goals for Juve last season and it seems any deal would not be a permanent one.

Aston Villa RUMOUR: Wesley Moraes to Aston Villa

The Premier League new boys are on the brink of breaking their transfer record and signing Club Brugge striker Wesley Moraes. Tammy Abraham and Tyrone Mings have both returned to their parent clubs so Villa need to spend some money in the transfer market and replacing Abraham’s 26 goals from last season is a priority. If the rumours around the Aston Villa camp are true, they could have their new striker on board sooner rather than later. The striker scored 17 goals last season and was reportedly the subject of a £20 million bid from Cardiff City in January.
