FPL Fantasy Football Gameweek 14 Captains Picks

As we approach the busy Christmas period the Fantasy Football captain’s picks are more important than ever. Points are vital in these quick fire matches and we’ve picked out three Gameweek 14 captain options to consider.

Last week’s pick, Jamie Vardy, delivered once again with a 12-point haul against Brighton. There is no shortage of captaincy picks for Gameweek 14 and the three best picks are outlined below.

 

Option 1 – Sadio Mané (12.2m) vs Brighton

We begin with Liverpool’s Sadio Mané. The Senegalese wide man delivered again last Gameweek, recording 9 points with a goal against Crystal Palace. He has either scored or assisted in five of the last six gameweeks and now faces a Brighton side struggling for clean sheets. Mané has firmly established himself as Liverpool’s go-to FPL asset and has the form to justify the armband. Liverpool haven’t been at their best in recent weeks and were perhaps fortunate to come away with all three points. Will their luck run out this weekend? Probably not.

 

Option 2 – Jamie Vardy (9.7m) vs Everton

The Premier League top goalscorer just can’t stop scoring right now. He’s scored in each of the last five and has 12 goals in 13 games. His record under Brendan Rodgers is spectacular and shows no signs of slowing down. Leicester are up to second in the league and face an Everton side floating above the relegation zone. The Toffees have conceded to Norwich, Southampton and Brighton in recent weeks so stopping Leicester looks unlikely. Vardy has six goals in six at home and we wouldn’t bet against him making it seven or more.

 

Option 3 – Harry Kane (10.8m) vs Bournemouth

It was a tough call between Kane and the in-form Heung-Min Son but we’ve opted for Englishman. Kane’s form isn’t quite as impressive as Son’s but there is plenty of cause for optimism. In Mourinho’s first game in charge Kane’s positioning was very central with far less dropping deep than we’ve become accustomed to. The Spurs man netted his seventh league goal of the season and could have had a second if it weren’t for an offside flag. Kane’s penalty duties may just give him the edge over Son with Bournemouth falling to consecutive defeats.
