Reasons for this Weekend’s Football Tips

Hull City have been plummeting down the Championship league table in recent weeks and now visit useful home team Stoke this weekend. That clash features in this Saturday Accumulator alongside home games involving Crewe and Swindon as they seek automatic promotion from League Two. The playoffs are the more likely target for Northampton in the same league as they host struggling Mansfield while the final selection involves the same scenario for Hartlepool in National League action.

Stoke vs Hull Betting Tip – Stoke win.

Despite their lowly position in the Championship table, Stoke have been a decent team at the Bet365 Stadium losing just once at the venue since the beginning of December. The Potters have won three of their last four games on home soil and now host a Hull team which has claimed just two points since winning at Sheffield Wednesday on New Year’s Day. Having sold two of their more influential players during January, the Tigers are finding it difficult to avoid losing games and are facing a fourth successive defeat.

Crewe vs Stevenage Betting Tip – Crewe win.

After suffering seven consecutive League Two defeats with at least two goals conceded in six of those losses, the prospects of Stevenage remaining in the fourth-tier next season remain bleak. Losing six of seven previous away matches is not a good sign ahead of visiting a Crewe team challenging for automatic promotion. The Railwaymen have won their last seven league fixtures at Gresty Road and gained a valuable midweek point when drawing at Exeter. Another home win is forecasted for Crewe.

Northampton vs Mansfield Betting Tip – Northampton win.

It has been a disappointing League Two campaign to date for Mansfield with the team languishing in fourth-bottom position ahead of the weekend fixtures. Just one point earned from their five previous away fixtures is not a good sign as is only a single victory from six previous outings, and a visit to Northampton promises to be a difficult afternoon. The Cobblers claimed three victories during a mixed February but the manner of their 3-0 win at Grimsby last weekend was impressive. A fifth home win this year is predicted for Northampton.

Swindon vs Forest Green Rovers Betting Tip – Swindon win.

At one stage this season, Forest Green Rovers were considered as candidates for promotion from League Two. However, just two league victories earned since the beginning of December has dented those hopes and a winless sequence of eight league matches is not a good omen ahead of visiting league leaders Swindon. The Robins have lost just two league games this year and have won five consecutive fixtures at the County Ground with at least two goals scored per outing. A fourth successive win in league action is tipped for Swindon.

Hartlepool vs Ebbsfleet Betting Tip – Hartlepool win.

A 1-0 win earned at Solihull on Tuesday evening ensured that Hartlepool are serious contenders to feature in the end-of-season National League promotion playoffs, and they have won four of their last six fixtures. The last visiting team to win at Victoria Park was Harrogate on New Year’s Day, and Ebbsfleet have won only one league game on the road since the beginning of November when recently claiming three points at fellow strugglers Maidenhead. The inconsistent Fleet are likely to lose at improving Hartlepool.
