Football Tips: Three League One Bets for 12/1 Treble on Saturday 15th October

It’s another clean sweep for my selections this week with all 3 coming in League One. I’m backing the top 2 to keep delivering and also going with my heart on my other selection.

Hopefully, we hold on longer than the 30 seconds it took for Barnsley to concede and ruin the day last weekend…..

Plymouth 23/20 (away at MK Dons)

I could pretty much copy and paste what I wrote about the league leaders in last week’s article. I mentioned last week that Plymouth are still not being priced up by bookies as title contenders and I genuinely cannot believe the price of them here. Argyle keep winning and MK Dons keep losing and I’m amazed we can get odds against here.

MK Dons are a patch of themselves from last season’s playoff losers and I don’t see them getting near Argyle here. They had an XG of 0.10 on Tuesday night at home to a Bristol Rovers side who have conceded for fun of late.

Plymouth have been great to watch this season and I fully expect Argyle to take revenge for their 0-5 drubbing on the final day of last season which ended their promotion hopes then.

 

Bristol Rovers 19/10 (away at Cheltenham)

This selection is more heart then head but I still believe Rovers are a price here. They recorded their first win in 8 last weekend and followed that up with a straight forward win at MK Dons in midweek to pull clear of the relegation zone after a poor spell. Rovers have had a lot of injuries to contend with in recent weeks (notably in defence) but with players returning they are going to be a different side.

Cheltenham are just about holding their own again in League One and have won their last 2 at home without conceding. I think the game will be tight and with only 40 miles separating the teams, this local ‘derby’ fill will give the game an extra buzz. I’m backing Rovers to carry on where they left off in midweek and go back down the M5 with all 3 points.

 

Ipswich -1  21/20 (home to Lincoln)

Ive had success on the handicap betting in League One this season and im happy to back Ipswich on it here. Priced around 2/5 in the win only market, I believe the jump to adds against on the -1 handicap is fair value.

Lincoln haven’t been easy to beat and have only been on the losing side 3 times so far this season. However, all those games have been away from home and they haven’t scored in any of those games (2-0, 2-0, 4-0 results). As a result I’m more than happy to think Ipswich can win this by more than 1 goal. They are in the top 3 for goals scored and fewest goals conceded this season and that’s everything you want to see when suggesting a team to win on a handicap.

I think Ipswich will continue to rack up the points here and comfortably beat Lincoln to condemn them to another away defeat.
