Manchester City

We kick off with last week’s highest scorer, Raheem Sterling (12.0m). The Man City winger bagged a second half hat-trick in a 5-0 win over West Ham. Sergio Aguero (12m) could return to the starting 11 but Guardiola’s comments on Gabriel Jesus’ (9.5m) good form are something to bear in mind before considering the Argentine. The Citizens can score well against any team in the league and Sterling remains a good captaincy option.

Liverpool

Sterling’s biggest rival for the armband is likely Mo Salah (12.5m). Liverpool have a kinder fixture on paper, travelling to St Mary’s. Southampton conceded three to Burnley and with the added threat of the returning Sadio Mané (11.5m) are unlikely to keep a full-strength Liverpool attack at bay. Mané’s likely return may well limit Divock Origi’s (5.5m) game time, after a fast start last week.

Norwich

Teemu Pukki (6.0m) stood out in Norwich’s game week 1 fixture at Anfield. The Finish striker is guaranteed to start and faces a lacklustre Newcastle at Carrow Road. Both he, and gameweek 1 assister, Emiliano Buendía (6.5m), could produce attacking returns once again.

Sheffield United & Crystal Palace

Sheffield United face Crystal Palace after their late equaliser at the Vitality Stadium last weekend. The out-of-position John Lundstram (4.0m) stood out in that match, playing high up the field and earning himself a bonus point. He represents excellent value if he can keep hold of his midfield spot ahead of deadline day acquisition, Muhamed Besic (4.5m). A blunt Palace attack could see the Blades keep a clean sheet this week. Wilfried Zaha (7.0m) came off the bench against Everton and could be the one to make the breakthrough if he starts this time around.

Leicester & Chelsea

If Chelsea are to persist with their high defensive line, Jamie Vardy (9.0m) and Ayoze Perez (6.5m) could profit on Sunday. The pair were frustrated against Wolves but look good prospects to profit against an out-of-sorts Chelsea defence. James Maddison’s (7.0m) set piece deliveries and Youri Tieleman’s (6.5m) through balls could also cause problems. Chelsea looked good going forward at times against Manchester United. Ross Barkley (6.0m), who is likely on penalties, the potentially under-priced Tammy Abraham (7.0m) and a very attacking Emerson (5.5m), could be good picks for the Blues moving forward.
