Ireland v Bosnia Preview
A 1-1 draw in Bosnia on Friday night has given Republic of Ireland a fantastic platform going into tonight’s second leg but they will be all too away that Bosnia are more than capable of getting themselves an away goal and cancelling out Ireland’s advantage. Bosnia have scored in their last four away matches including in Belgium and a 3-2 win in Cyprus so Republic of Ireland will have to be on their guard tonight.

Ireland’s defensive record in Euro 2016 qualifying was very good, they only conceded more than a goal in one of the matches and only conceded two goals in their five home matches – that included a 1-0 win against Germany. A concern for Irish fans should be that they only scored more than a goal in one of their five home games and that was the 7-0 win over minnows Gibraltar.
Martin O’Neill has warned his players not to rely on their away goal calling the idea of camping in their own half for 90 minutes a “recipe for disaster”. O’Neill went on to say that they will go out on the front foot to try and win the game against Bosnia at the Aviva tonight.
One thing is for certain tonight, Ireland v Bosnia is going to go down to the wire and we could even be heading for extra-time and dreaded penalties.
