Saturday’s Best European Football Betting Tips

Schalke vs Hoffenheim Betting Tip – Hoffenheim Win

We’re starting with a relatively short price, but it looks fairly straightforward. Schalke are enduring a disaster of a campaign, and it isn’t looking like getting any better as they welcome high-flying Hoffenheim to the Veltins Arena.

There are still concerns about a potential relegation, and they will need to fight for the points during their remaining fixtures. Last week, they picked up a point against second bottom Nurnberg, and they showed some grit and determination. However, this will be much tougher.

The Royal Blues are still six points clear of the relegation zone, but with Leverkusen and Dortmund still to play, they can’t afford to take it easy just yet.

They’ve picked up just one point from a possible 15 at home, and have conceded nine goals in that time. They were undone by a heartbreaking last minute penalty last time out, and they are unlikely to be walloped here, but they are up against a side who specialise in away trips.

The Sinsheim club won 2-0 last weekend, and will be looking to extend their winning run. They’ve only lost three times on the road all season, and remain undefeated to any side below 10th position.

Julien Nagelsmann’s side have netted 15 goals when visiting sides in the bottom four this season, and should prove too strong. The first of our European betting tips for Saturday is Hoffenheim to Win.

Nice vs Caen Betting Tip – Nice Win

The second of our European football betting tips pitches together a side who struggle to score goals against a side who specialise in keeping clean sheets at home.

Nice can’t be described as the most entertaining side in Ligue 1 this season under Patrick Vieira, but they are extremely effective on their own patch. They are currently conceding just 0.75 goals per game in their last eight games, and they won’t be fazed by Caen’s powderpuff attack.

The visitors have failed to score in three of their last four Ligue 1 matches, and are yet to net more than a single goal in a game in 2019.

In contrast, Nice have managed four clean sheets in their last six games, and come into this game off the back of three consecutive shutouts. Vieira’s men have conceded just a single goal at the Allianz Riveria since December 22nd, with Firmin Mubele equalising in the 88th minute for Toulouse.

Caen lost 4-1 here on the Cote D’Azur last season, and it’s unlikely to be quite so one-sided this season, but the home side are just so good at the back this campaign. They should prevail.

Cagliari vs Frosinone Betting Tip – Both Teams to Score? Yes

Cagliari have become very reliable at home, and they are worth considering on the match outright here. However, our third betting tips is Both Teams to Score? Yes, which tends to land when the Islanders are playing on their patch.

The hosts have kept just a single clean sheet since Boxing Day, and that came at rock-bottom Chievo. The hosts were down to ten men in that game which didn’t help their cause.

Their home form looks to have been enough to keep them in the Italian top flight this season, and they’ve climbed to 12th as a result. They have an exceptionally good record here against sides below them in the table, winning five and drawing one.

Genoa were the last side to fail to score at this ground and Frosinone, who are scrapping away at the bottom of the table should get on the scoresheet here. They’ve scored just 26 goals all season, but they’ve netted in five of their last six Serie A matches, and they really have to go for it here.

They do have winnable home games against Chievo and Udinese to come, but they won’t want to go away empty handed, and should return from Sardinia with at least a goal to their name.

The previous two meetings have ended with both sides hitting the target, and I expect this one to go the same way.
