Saturday’s Football Tips – QPR, Stoke & Barnsley to Land this 7/1 Treble
This weekend’s win treble comes from the Football League matches once again with two home wins predicted in the Championship and one away team to win their League One clash.
The odds for all three teams to win are 7/1 with Betfred, where you can get the Betfred £60 sign-up bonus to spend on the upcoming football.
It was another profitable week last week thanks to easy 1-4 away wins for Plymouth (23/20) and Bristol Rovers (19/10). Unfortunately, Ipswich let the treble down after they failed to even score after 33 shots, 14 corners and 76% possession at home to Lincoln. On to this week’s selections for our football betting tips….
QPR 19/20 (home to Wigan)
Top-of-the-table QPR further strengthened by manager Michael Beale’s decision to turn down the Wolves job and remain at Loftus Road will surely be too good for Wigan here. The hosts come into this game with 4 wins in their last 5 whereas travellers Wigan will turn up in the capital having lost 4 of their last 5.
Quite a contrast in terms of the team’s form on show here and I think The R’s are actually a big price. It’s of my opinion that they should be a lot shorter. They returned to winning ways in midweek following their loss at Luton last weekend and Michael Beale pledging his future to the club will come as a boost and solidarity between its players.
I see nothing but a home win here in this one.
Stoke 23/20 (home to Coventry)
I’m taking a bit of a punt and a risk here as inconsistent Stoke take on an improved Coventry side. The Sky Blues have won their last 2 and came off the bottom of the table on Wednesday night after scoring late to beat previous table toppers Sheffield United.
Stoke’s mini-revival of 3 games unbeaten ended on Tuesday night when they went down to the odd goal to Rotherham. Now, that result didn’t strike as a team who may have turned a corner and have improved their form, however, Stoke were a little bit more than unlucky on Tuesday night. 29 shots to Rotherham’s 4, 68% possession and 8 corners would tell you that Stoke done everything but score. I believe they can’t be that unlucky again and am backing them to bounce back in front of their own fans on Saturday.
Stoke playing a night earlier (Tuesday compared to Coventry’s Wednesday night) may be the small gain here that is enough to get them over the line. That extra 24 hour rest period maybe what separates the teams here and I’m happy to back Stoke to get the 3 points at odds against them.
Barnsley 10/11 (away at Morecambe)
Struggling Morecambe look destined for relegation this season and I can see them being in for another long afternoon on Saturday.
Barnsley sit just inside the playoff places after a battling point away at Bolton last weekend. Their away form has been impressive so far this season with them picking up more points on the road than at home and I cant see why they cant go to Morecambe on Saturday and add another 3 points to that tally.
Morecambe have mirrored their opponents away form this season by gaining more points away from the Mazuma Stadium than at it. With them having terrible home form and Barnsley having a good away record I see nothing but an away win. I think they are slightly overpriced and I’m happy to take them at just under odds on.
