Unlucky Punter Denied £29,000 Thanks to 97th Minute Nottm Forest Goal

It was heartcahe for one Sky Bet punter on Wednesday night after he was denied a £29,000 windfall from a £1 bet thanks to Nottingham Forest’s 97th minute third goal against Newcastle.

The bet has since gone viral on Twitter and it turns out the punter also placed a Lucky 15 with the same four selections – three won so he turned his £3 stake into £725. However, he tweeted “Dont even feel like wins after what happened last night.”

 

The bet in question was a four-fold correct score accumulator and the selections in the Everton vs Rotherham, Millwall vs Plymouth and Rwading vs Watford matches all landed. He just needed a 2-1 Nottingham Forest win to complete the bet, and when Forest retook the lead in the 94th minute it looked like the bet would land, however, with Newcastle chasing an equaliser, Forest went back up the pitch and scored a third goal with the last kick of the match to win 3-1.
