World Cup Qualifying Tips: Andorra vs England, Scotland vs Israel & a 10/1 Accumulator Tip

The international break continues today with another batch of World Cup 2022 qualifying fixtures and we have picked out five to focus on including Andorra vs England and Scotland vs Kosovo. 

Most nations only have three matches left after these ones so the race for first and second places in the groups is hotting up and it’s a massive game for Scotland tonight, who are currently second in Group F, just a point ahead of tonight’s opponents Israel.

Finland vs Ukraine

Finland and Ukraine trail a lot behind table leaders France, so this is a game that will give a good indicator on which team is best equipped to follow the French to Qatar. Finland lost to France in the previous round of qualifying fixtures, while the Ukrainians managed to stop the French, securing a 1-1 draw against them.

There isn’t much separating these two nations at the moment, and the fight for the second spot is likely to go down the wire, so this game will decide nothing. Expect a cagey encounter, as both teams will not want to make silly mistakes.

Scotland vs Israel

Scotland have been impressive lately and they seem well on track to secure a place in the World Cup, but they have few more obstacles on the way to do so. They are second in the group, but just one point ahead of their Saturday opponents.

The previous game between these two back in March ended in a 1-1 stalemate, and we expect a close encounter once again, but with a home win this time around. Scotland fans will back their team fur the entire 90 minutes and they will be the key.

Sweden vs Kosovo

This is a must-win for Sweden, as they are just three points ahead of third-placed Greece, so a win against Kosovo will give them wind in the back on the road to Qatar. Spain seem secure in the first place of the group, but there is all to play for in the fight for second place.

Sweden are clear favourites here, and they showed why back in March, when they defeated Kosovo 3-0, and little suggests things have changed since then. Sweden need to get the job done on Saturday, and we expect them to do so.

Andorra vs England

Probably the easiest game to predict, as it is evident who are the favourites here. England just get better in recent years, so they will be expected to continue their growth in the World Cup next year, but they need a good base for that.

That base comes from impressive qualifying results, and so far they are on the right track. The game against Andorra will give Gareth Southgate the chance to rotate his squad and try out some new faces. There is only one winner here, and we expect some debut goals from the new boys in the team.

Switzerland vs Northern Ireland

It is pretty much clear that Italy will be first in this group, so the fight will go on for second place. Switzerland are in the driving seat for it, as they sit in second place three points more than their Saturday opponents.

These teams played against each other back in September, and it was a below-par performance from both teams, so the game ended in a 0-0 stalemate. The Swiss cannot afford themselves another result and performance similar to that, so they will be desperate to secure the much-needed win and be on a good way for the World Cup in Qatar next year.

They are clear favourites and we expect them to justify that tag by securing a comfortable home win against Northern Ireland, who will probably be out of the race for the second spot if they get defeated here. An emphatic home win seems like the most likely outcome.
