Bayern Munich currently pay witness to a whole plethora of talented stars, most notably among their ridiculously star-studded starting XI. One Bayern player to receive a fair amount of attention among the back-page headlines recently however, arrives in the form of Austria’s David Alaba.
The 24-year-old Bayern Munich defender is already a first-team starter down at the Allianz Arena, but as Antonio Conte is reportedly keen on brining the notoriously versatile Austrian to Stamford Bridge next season – could David Alaba be moving to the Premier League far sooner than most thought possible?
Linked to Lukaku, Sanchez, Alaba, Bakayoko… etc. Chelsea could be unstoppable next season

We are linked with Sanchez, Nainggolan, Alaba. Under Mourinho we were linked with Fellaini. Conte has changed the mentality of Chelsea.

Whilst such a notion seems a little unlikely to transpire on the surface, you never quite know what’s just waiting around the corner these days. Bayern Munich supposedly value the young Austrian incredibly highly – it’s true, but as big name players with even bigger transfer fees usually find themselves on the move sooner rather than later, perhaps this particular rumour has at least some chance of eventually taking place.
What we do know is that David Alaba would certainly do a job down at Stamford Bridge next term. Chelsea are already well on course to landing yet another illustrious Premier League title in 2016/17, but next season is where Antonio Conte will truly face his critics. Can he successfully defend his potential first-season trophy throughout the course of the brand new league campaign? We shall have to wait and see.
One way of strengthening his chances of cementing a second successful season down at Stamford Bridge next term, would be for Conte to triumphantly land Bayern Munich’s David Alaba in the summer. It would seem a little harsh on Chelsea’s current options for all their combined efforts up and down the flanks this term, but as things currently stand across the rest of world football – there are few up and coming left-backs that ultimately exhibit the same amount of potential as Bayern Munich’s Alaba.
The 24-year-old Austrian international isn’t scared of coming forward with the ball at his feet, his defensive reading of the game has proven rather successful down at the Allianz Arena thus far – and although the in-form Bayern man can always improve and transform into an even better player, the future remains sincerely bright for young David Alaba.
Chelsea and Antonio Conte would therefore love to be part of that future. With such a player safely on board for the 2017/18 campaign, the club’s chances of maintaining their once untouchable dominance back among the English top-flight seem more than feasible with all things considered.
