Both teams to score tips for this week’s Europa League fixtures and the reasons for each selection on the BTTS bet from our footy tipster.
Thursday sees the final fixtures in the Europa League group games where plenty of sides still have lots to play for. Arsenal have already qualified, whilst Everton have an outside chance of just not finishing bottom of their league. We have put together a best bet four-fold where we need all eight sides to grab a goal. Read on below to see the reasonings for each pick.
Why you need a 10Bet account:
The first pick on our BTTS tips comes from Group E where we see the two sides at the bottom of the league. Neither team has anything to play for which could lead to an open, exciting game of football. The hosts haven’t failed to score at home in a competitive game this calendar year, including their last two matches which have seen them score nine goals. Prior to losing 4-0 away to Lyon, this bet would have landed in every other Europa League game this season. They have drawn 1-1 with both Atalanta and Lyon as well as sharing a four-goal thriller in the reverse fixture with Everton. Since Big Sam’s appointment, the Toffees seem to have tightened up at the back, although we are expecting wholesale changes for this game. They are conceding an average of three goals a game in the group, but have scored at least one goal in each of their last six competitive games.
Another 6pm kick off sees us head to Turkey for the second both teams to score tip. The Turkish side have scored in 13 consecutive games, but the even more impressive stat which looks good for us, is that they have also conceded in 11 of those matches. Their last four Europa League matches would have seen the tip land and that includes a 2-1 defeat in this reverse fixture in Portugal. Braga haven’t managed to keep a clean sheet in their last three away matches and four of their five group matches in Europe have seen both teams find the back of the net, a feat we expect to continue here.
The third pick in the acca is the final one of our 6pm kick offs. Swiss side Young Boys are top of their domestic league, but that certainly isn’t down to their defence. They have conceded in each pf their last eight games, with seven of those also seeing Young Boys get on the scoresheet. They are without a win in the group so far, but have managed to find the net against their opposition in four of the five group games. Skenderbeu need a big win to have a chance of progressing so we can expect them to attack from the off. The Albanians will feel confident after putting three past Dynamo Kiev in their last Europa League game and given they are top of their own league, we are expecting lively game.
We travel to Spain for the fourth and final pick on the Europa League both teams to score tips where Spanish side Sociedad host Russians Zenit. These two sides have sailed through the group stage to qualify and are up there among the favourites in terms of winning the competition. The Spaniards managed to do what not many other teams have done this season in their last game, score against Atletico Madrid. That may not be too much of a surprise though, seen as though only Barcelona and Valencia have scored more than them in the league this term. Defensively though they are very fragile. It’s been seven games since they kept a clean sheet in the league, conceding nine times in those six games. Zenit are the Russian top leagues second highest scorers, but have also struggled defensively in recent games. They have conceded five goals in their last three games and with a side as attack minded as Sociedad, we expect them to be tested again.
