Champions League Odds 2020 – Who are the current favourites to win the Champions League?

Champions League tips

We were planning to bring back winners and losers today, but the winter break is still annoying everyone.

One big competition that isn’t, however, is the Champions League, which is back this week on Tuesday and Wednesday.

We’re into the knockout rounds, now, so the competition is heating up. We thought we’d have a look at some potential candidates to go on and win the competition and see what the latest odds to win the Champions League are.

Manchester City Odds to win the Champions League – 4/1

City are the favourites to win this year’s Champions League despite being a huge 25 points behind Liverpool in the Premier League title race.

There’s no doubt they’re a good side – but they just haven’t been on it this season. Saying that, the Champions League is one trophy Pep Guardiola has wanted to win at City for a long time and, with a European ban coming, this may be his last chance to do it, meaning he’s going to throw everything at it.

Liverpool Odds to win the Champions League – 4/1

Last year’s winners and 2018’s beaten finalists have forgotten how to lose this season in the league. They have, however, tasted defeat in the Champions League, which provides a whole different story.

It’s difficult to see them losing over two legs, but, then again, it’s anyone’s game in the final. It would take a very brave soul to bet against the Reds with the defensive stability and attacking prowess they have as they look to win back-to-back Champions League trophies to add to their impending Premier League crown. Can Liverpool win the trophy again? Keep up to date with all our Champions League betting tips as we head into the last 16 of the tournament, where Liverpool face Atletico Madrid.

Bayern Munich Odds to win the Champions League – 7/1

Bayern are finding form lately and it’s come at the perfect time as they find themselves in a battle to retain their Bundesliga title.

It’s come just in time for the restart of the Champions League, too. They have a talented squad and will fancy their last 16 chances against Chelsea in a repeat of 2012’s final.

Barcelona Odds to win the Champions League – 7/1

Barca have had an up and down season but are still one of the biggest forces in Europe. A team that has Lionel Messi in it can never be written off, and they’ve plenty of talent all over the park.

These days, the 2011 champions aren’t what they once were, and are in transition following a recent change in manager. Last year’s semi-final collapse against Liverpool may still be playing on their minds, too – and may have a huge effect if they find themselves in a similar situation.

PSG Odds to win the Champions League – 7/1

The French giants have set their sights on winning the Champions League for a number of seasons, now, but haven’t even come close in recent years.

They’ve chopped and changed managers and invested a lot in the playing squad – on the likes of a Neymar and M’Bappe – and, because of the talent they have and how much they want to win the competition, it’s hard to bet against them.

They can always guarantee massive confidence from their league form unlike some others – mainly because it’s a farmer’s league. That benefits them.

Juventus Odds to win the Champions League – 10/1

Juve are a safe option, mainly because they have Mr. Champions League, Christiano Ronaldo, on their books.

They may possess the greatest Champions League player of all time, but their squad depth is also immense. They have options all over the park and never look weak.

The only question to be raised is whether or not they can do it against the other big boys.

Real Madrid Odds to win the Champions League – 14/1

The most successful club in the history of the competition have had a bit of an unusual fall from grace since winning their third title on the trot in 2018.

Their management situation has been an issue, but Zidane is back and he certainly knows how to win the Champions League.

It may be a little early for Madrid to win the competition again, but their last 16 tie with City could prove crucial, and, if the Spanish team make it through, they’ll surely become one of the favourites.

It’s highly likely that one of the above seven will win the competition, but anything can happen in knockout football. Outsiders such as Tottenham 25/1, Athletico Madrid 33/1 or even Chelsea 40/1 could spring some surprises yet.
