Real Madrid vs Shakhtar Donetsk Prediction & Betting Tip

Both Teams to Score – Yes – 4/5 with William Hill.

Dropping points Real Sociedad and Cadiz is far from ideal as Real Madrid get off to an unspectacular defence of the La Liga title. Real conceded in four of their six UCL group games last season, including home and away to Club Brugge.

Similarly, Shakthar have dropped points where they’d be expected to win, having drawn half of their six league games so far. The Ukrainian champions are yet to lose but have conceded in every game so far. They managed eight goals in the Champions League group stage last year, scoring against Dynamo Zagreb, Manchester City and Atalanta.

Salzburg vs Lokomotiv Moscow Prediction & Betting Tip

Over 3.5 goals – 7/5 with Paddy Power

It’s no surprise that Salzburg are top of the Austrian Bundesliga with four wins from four. They’ve wracked up the goals scoring no fewer than three in each game and netting seven in the last. Perhaps most crucially, they have conceded a single goal in each game against far inferior opponents.

It’s been a very different story for Lokomotiv Russia who have seen over 2.5 goals just three times in 11 league games. As a result, odds are priced rather kindly for a game involving high-scoring Salzburg. Their attacking style may open up the game and bring more goals as a result.

Ajax vs Liverpool Prediction & Betting Tip

Diogo Jota to Score – 6/4 with Paddy Power

The Portuguese international has made a positive start to life with Liverpool. Jota scored the third goal against Arsenal a few weeks back and put in an excellent display for his country during the international break. He scored a brace against Sweden during his man of the match showing and is likely to see plenty of game time in Europe.

Jota has European experience having played for Porto, Atletico, and Wolves. Liverpool will create chances against Ajax even if the Dutch side have every chance of causing an upset. With quality teammates around him, Jota’s goal scoring record is set to improve.

Bayern Munich vs Atletico Madrid Prediction & Betting Tip

Under 2.5 Goals – 13/10 with Bet365.

Diego Simeone is no stranger to masterminding incredible defensive displays against Europe’s elite. Atletico managed to silence one of Europe’s strongest attacks in Liverpool last season but will be up against it at the Allianz.

The reigning European Champions are favourites to win and with good reason. Bayern usually wrack up the goals regardless of the opponent but if anyone can restrict them it’s surely Simeone and Atleti.

FC Midtjylland vs Atalanta Prediction & Betting Tip

Alejandro Gomez to Score – 13/8 with Paddy Power.

Atalanta’s incredible Champions League run ended in heartbreakingly dramatic fashion for the Italian side last season. They have started strongly in Serie A once again and are looking to prove that they aren’t just a one-season flash in the pan.

Alejandro Gomez has netted in three league games already this season and is always a goal threat. FC Midtjylland have been dealt a tough group and will be hard-pressed to finish anywhere but bottom.

Inter Milan vs Borussia Monchengladbach Prediction & Betting Tip

Romelu Lukaku to Score – 10/11 with Paddy Power

Lukaku has four goals in four games in the League after another strong start to the season. His form for Belgian has been equally impressive and the big center-forward looks to be hitting his stride in recent years.

Monchengladbach have conceded in each of their four Bundesliga games so far and are currently sat in 11th. Lukaku’s penalty duties further boost his appeal as he looks to continue his strong start and give Inter a likely victory.

Manchester City vs Porto Prediction & Betting Tip

Phil Foden to Score – 6/4 with Paddy Power

Foden has started every league game so far this season and is likely to continue that trend in the Champions League. His run of games has been helped by several attacking injuries including Gabriel Jesus and Kevin De Bruyne’s current absences.

Foden has scored in the Premier League this season and came close to adding a second with a parried shot that resulted in Sterling’s winner against Arsenal at the weekend.

Porto have taken one point from their last two after losing to 3-2 to Maritimo and drawing 2-2 with Sporting. City will surely score on multiple occasions and Foden’s advanced positioning mean he’s likely to be involved.

Olympiakos vs Marseille Prediction & Betting Tip

Under 2.5 Goals – 4/6 with Bet365

Marseille have had a mixed start to their season. A 1-0 win over PSG was followed up with four winless games. All five of those games featured under 2.5 goals.

Olympiakos are easily the best side in Greece yet two of their four league games have also featured fairly low scorelines over under 2.5 goals. Marseille will be a better match for them and a tight low-scoring contest might be on the cards here.
