Birmingham vs QPR Betting Odds

Birmingham got back to winning ways at the weekend and they begin this fixture as favourites. The Blues were celebrating Pep Clotet officially becoming their head coach as they surprisingly edged out Reading at the Madejski and they are 5/4 to make it back-to-back Championship successes in midweek. QPR have been in mixed for this season and they picked up their first win in eight at the weekend. They also kept their first clean sheet of the campaign and confidence will be running high in the camp. The R’s are 21/10 to make it back-to-back wins and pick up their fifth away success of the season. The draw is available at 12/5. Over 2.5 Goals hasn’t landed in many Birmingham games this season although it did pay out at the weekend. It’s 5/6 tonight. QPR have had trouble keeping teams off the scoresheet and BTTS is around 4/6 with the majority of bookmakers. Lukas Jutkiewicz is the favourite in the anytime goalscorer market and is 9/5 with Betfair to score at any point in this contest. Saturday’s two-goal hero Eberechi Eze is 16/5 with Unibet to add to his recent tally.

Birmingham vs QPR Predictions

This is a difficult game to predict. Birmingham got back to winning ways at the weekend and are now four games unbeaten in the Championship. Three of those four games ended all-square and they certainly have the ability to frustrate sides. They’re unbeaten against sides below them in table (QPR are directly below them) and only Preston and Fulham have left St.Andrews with maximum points (both 1-0). QPR also have a decent away record against opponents who sit mid-table or below. They’re also unbeaten away from home against sides in the bottom half and always seem to find a way to get something from these types of games. They’ve lost four times on the road and three of those defeats came against opponents in the top four. There is very little between these two sides in terms of league position and that could be the case on the pitch as well. Backing the draw at 12/5 with Coral seems like the logical way of approaching this tie. Although QPR kept their first clean sheet of the campaign at the weekend, they are unlikely to make it back-to-back shutouts. Brum have kept just two home clean sheets all season (one against bottom club Barnsley) and they may struggle to keep Mark Warburton’s side at bay. BTTS is best-priced 8/11 with William Hill.
