Bolton vs Blackburn Predictions

Our Championship predictions come from the Macron Stadium as Bolton take on Blackburn in a tasty looking Lancashire derby. It’s always a lively contest between this pair and both side will be desperate to get on track after recent defeats. Despite their troubles last season, Bolton are always strong at home and they can cause problems for many sides here at the Macron. Their record against their neighbours here is pretty impressive and 2009 was the last time that Rovers left with all three points. They have won the last two meetings by a 1 goal margin and they managed to impressively stifle Derby during their last home game. Phil Parkinson may not be working with much but he’s an excellent manager and is clearly tactically savvy. Blackburn have had a mixed season so far and will be disappointed to have lost 2-0 at home to Sheffield United on Wednesday night. They do have players returning from injury although the news of Ryan Nyambe’s layoff is worrying. They are a mixed bag away from home although they’ve only lost one of the last five and Tony Mowbray’s side should be able to get something from this clash. Bolton will aim to keep things tight and restrict Blackburn’s chances but the visitors have dangerous players and a draw may be the best option here. The game is 11/5 with Paddy Power and that is the first of our Bolton vs Blackburn predictions.

Bolton vs Blackburn Under/Over Odds

There is rarely much between these sides when they meet, particularly at this stadium. Bolton are the joint-second lowest scorers in the league with just ten goals so far and they also have one of the best defensive records in the bottom half of the Championship. They’ve conceded just four goals in their last three matches and have kept clean sheets in two of their five home matches. Two of the three sides to have found the net here sit comfortably inside the top five and they will make it their business to be rigid and tough to break down. Blackburn do have goals in their side but they’ve only netted 13 goals in 15 games and have conceded a goal-per-game on average this season. It could be a fascinating tactical battle between the pair but it might not be a classic. Under 2.5 Goals isn’t a value bet but at 7/11 with 888Sport, it looks a sensible option and is the second of our Bolton vs Blackburn predictions for Saturday evening.

Bolton vs Blackburn Anytime Goalscorer Odds

Bolton don’t have any regular goalscorers although Josh Magennis is always a nuisance in the opposition’s penalty box. Blackburn have a number of players who could be dangerous including the imperious Bradley Dack. The former Gillingham man looks to be a Premier League player in-the-making and he is excelling in the Championship. He links play exceptionally well and gets into goal-scoring positions. He looks the best option in this game and he could break the deadlock. Bradley Dack is priced at 7/4 with Betfred and is the third of our Bolton vs Blackburn predictions. Bolton vs Blackburn Match Betting Preview

Blackburn Win – 11/10

Draw – 23/10

Bolton Win – 5/2

[global_advert id=”37941″]

Blackburn have been priced up as favourites for this tie which is somewhat surprising. Rovers don’t lost often on the road but they don’t win many games and 11/10 with Bet365 looks a bit short. Bolton are difficult to play against and they are 5/2 to add to their recent success at this stadium. They have a great record in this venue and will be looking to continue that run of form. The draw is the pick of our football tipster and it is available at 23/10. It is one of our Championship predictions for this late game.

A single goal usually separates these two sides when they face one another and Both Teams to Score? No is available at 8/11. Under 2.5 Goals is one of Bolton vs Blackburn tips and it looks short enough at 8/13. Those who wish to go one step further can get 2/1 on Under 1.5 Goals.

Our anytime goalscorer tip, Bradley Dack is the 5/1 favourite to open the scoring in this game and he is likely to be a lively presence up front. Danny Graham and Adam Armstrong are both 11/2 shots to break the deadlock. For Bolton, Josh Magennis is available at 7/1 whilst last weekend’s hero – Craig Noone is priced at 16/1.
