Championship Fixtures, Betting Tips and Match Previews for the Opening Weekend

Our football tipsters have been busy writing match previews of all 12 Championship fixtures this weekend and there are three betting tips selected for every match – as always, all the tips are free and we’ve found the best bookmakers to use too.

The 2018/19 English Championship kicks off this weekend with a Friday night fixture between Reading and Derby before we get nine matches on Saturday 4th August. The pick of these fixtures is arguably the 5.30pm kick-off between Sheffield United and Swansea. The Swans will look to bounce straight back after relegation from the Premier League last season but they do face a tough task.

There is another great looking fixture on Sunday when Leeds host another relegated team in Stoke City. We’ve predicted the match to end a draw and both sides would probably be happy with that result given they could be promotion rivals come the closing stages this season.

Monday’s fixture is Hull City vs Aston Villa and with Villa’s problems off the pitch looking to be getting sorted, they’ll just want to get down to business.
