Birmingham’s home form has been very ropey and they have collected the fewest points on their own patch across the last four matches. Despite losing four consecutive matches at St.Andrews, they’ve still managed to find the net in the last three with Pep Clotet’s men scoring twice against Wigan and WBA as well as four times against Leeds. Clearly their defence is the issue and that will be music to the ears of Neil Harris. Cardiff have struggled in recent weeks, and conceded three times to League Two Carlisle in midweek. Away from home, they’ve kept just three clean sheets and there have been 19 goals across their last four away matches.
Phillip Cocu’s Derby have undoubtedly improved over the last few weeks and they’ve made a decent start to 2020. They beat Palace in the FA Cup and took a point against an in-form Middlesbrough side last weekend. Their home form is very strong and have lost just once here since August 20th. Wayne Rooney’s arrival has helped, but they also have a little more width since Jayden Bogle returned from injury. Hull are one of the most unpredictable sides in the division, and they are often capable of throwing up a surprise result. However, they were lacklustre against Fulham last weekend and may struggle here.
The Owls are also highly unpredictable and they continued to spring surprises with a 2-0 victory at Elland Road last weekend. Garry Monk’s men are missing Steven Fletcher, but Adthe Nuhiu stepped up last week and was excellent. They are taking on a Blackburn side who are badly missing Bradley Dack. Although Adam Armstrong has scored seven for the campaign, they haven’t been able to replace the former Gillingham man’s creativity and eye for goal. They’ve conceded five goals in their last two away outings and could struggle at Hillsborough.
