Blackburn vs Brentford Prediction – Over 2.5 Goals

Rovers somehow conceded twice to Barnsley on Saturday afternoon, but managed to just about get over the line with a 3-2 victory. Some fans booed manager Tony Mowbray at the full time whistle registering their displeasure with the performance. They’re usually good for goals at home with seven in their last three, but clean sheets are a rarity and against an in-form Brentford side they could struggle to keep them at bay. There have been 17 goals in the last five matches at Ewood Park and entertaining is likely once again on Wednesday. Although Brentford’s defence has improved, they still could find the hosts hard to keep off the score-sheet and this could be a cracker in Lancashire. There have been 16 goals in the last four meetings between these sides and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see that tally increase this week.

Middlesbrough vs Barnsley Prediction – Over 2.5 Goals

Middlesbrough were in complete control until Marvin  Johnson’s dismissal on Sunday and they eventually buckled conceding two second-half goals to Jarrod Bowen. Boro are at least scoring again and they’ve now registered back-to-back 2-2 draws. Jonathon Woodgate may still be playing some his players out-of-position, but the Teessiders at least look threatening going forward. Barnsley have now conceded seven in their last two games and there is plenty of work for Gerhard Stuber to do. The new boss watched his side put on a decent attacking display, yet still come out on the wrong side of a 3-2 loss. Barnsley are leaky at the back, but they possess plenty of cutting edge going forward and they should play their part in this battle of the strugglers.

QPR vs Nottingham Forest Prediction – Nottingham Forest Draw No Bet

Forest are incredibly tough to beat this season and they picked up yet another decent point on the road on Saturday. The Tricky Trees were reduced to ten men after Ryan Yates received his marching orders, yet they still managed to take a point from the clash. They’ve been beaten just once on the road this season (vs Wigan) and they created more than enough chances in that contest to get something from it. QPR have had a decent season so far, although they’ve only won one of their last five at Loftus Road and they will be aiming to get back on track. They have plenty of quality going forward, but they struggle to contain sides at the back and that could prove troublesome here. Mark Warburton’s side are still yet to keep a clean sheet at home and Forest could take full advantage.
