Hull City vs Reading prediction and betting tips for the Championship fixture on Saturday 10th August from the KCOM Stadium. Both sides lost their opening match last weekend and Hull were one of our Championship relegation predictions for this season.
Last season Hull were a fantastic side to bet on at home and a fantastic side to bet against when they were away from home. Hopefully, this will be the case again this season, although they look like one of the weaker teams in the division, they should still be strong at home. Starman Jarred Bowon has left and they lost manager Nigel Adkins in the summer. Their 2-1 loss to Swansea City at the weekend was no real surprise following an average run of results in pre-season.
Reading are another side who are towards the top of the betting odds to be relegated this season and they also started with a loss last weekend. They were soundly beaten 3-1 at home against Sheffield Wednesday and it is hard to see them getting a result on the East coast this weekend. They won just one Championship away game in 19 attempts last season.
The home side were strong for most of last season at the KCOM Stadium and hopefully, they’ll get off to a winning start this weekend because that’s the first of our football tips. Reading were really poor at home to Sheffield Wednesday last weekend so all the signs are there that Hull can come out with three points here – this would also be a good bet for any Saturday acca tip you might place.
In the other odds markets, Hull to win and BTTS could be a wise selection. In their home matches last season they only kept one clean sheet in their last eight fixtures and conceded twice at Swansea last weekend. Reading got on the scoresheet against Sheff Wed but lost the game and it would be no surprise to see a similar outcome on Saturday.
Hull to win – 11/10
Draw – 12/5
Reading to win – 12/5
Both teams to score – 8/13
