Hull vs Sheffield United Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview

Hull betting tips

Hull vs Sheffield United predictions and betting tips for Friday’s Championship fixture at the KCom with an anytime goalscorer pick and outright prediction included.

Hull boss Nigel Adkins laid into his players on Tuesday night following his side’s 3-1 loss at Middlesbrough. The Tigers have a terrible record at the Riverside but the former Scunthorpe boss wasn’t impressed with his side’s inability to close the opposition down. They are struggling down the wrong end of the Championship table but have started to show some signs of life recently and could be difficult to beat. Sheffield United have had a few injury problems in recent weeks but most of their key players should be back for this tie. The Blades sit just outside the play-offs and will be hoping a victory here can push them back into the top six (albeit temporarily). Hull vs Sheffield United Predictions

Hull are difficult to beat on their own patch. Despite finding themselves in a lowly position, they are unbeaten in five matches in Humberside. They have drawn each of their last four games including decent points against Derby and Fulham. They won’t let Chris Wilder’s side have it all their own way. The first of our Hull vs Sheffield United betting tips is Draw which is priced at 12/5 with Betfair.

Goals Tip

Sheffield United don’t keep many clean sides and haven’t managed a shutout in 11 away matches. Chris Wilder’s side do score goals though and this could be an entertaining 90 minutes. Both Teams to Score? Yes is 5/6 with Coral and is the second of our Hull vs Sheffield United betting tips.

Goalscorer Prediction

Leon Clarke is going through a lean spell by this own high standards so I’m going to overlook him in this goalscorer market. Clayton Donaldson may only start part of this game but the former Crewe man can cause plenty of problems and could make a different. Clayton Donaldson in the anytime goalscorer market is priced at 9/4 with Betfred and is the last of our Hull vs Sheffield United betting predictions.

Hull vs Sheffield United Betting Preview

Sitting just outside the play-off positions, it’s easy to see why Sheffield United have been priced up as the favourites for this tie. The Blades can be backed at 8/5 for just their second away win in six. Hull can be supported at 19/10 with the draw available at 12/5.

Our football predictions suggest that Both Teams to Score? Yes is likely to land at 8/11 whilst Over 2.5 Goals priced at Evens.

Billy Sharpe and Leon Clarke are the two favourites in the goalscorer market. The veteran frontman who netted twice against Leeds can be 6/1 to fire his side into the lead whilst Clarke is a slightly better 11/2 to open the scoring.
