Reading vs Leeds Betting Odds

After securing a last-gasp away victory at the weekend, Leeds are odds-on to win again on the road on Tuesday night. The Whites have now won three in a row and they can be backed at 5/6 to make it four on the bounce. Reading have also been in decent form and they are looking for their fourth consecutive three-point haul at the Madejski. Mark Bowen’s side can be backed at a chunky 15/4 with Bet365 to pick up a midweek victory.

The draw (which has landed in two of Leeds’ three away games) is available at around 5/2. It’s also odds-on for Over 2.5 Goals in this tie with a price of 3/4 for a goal-fest in Berkshire. Those who believe it will be a low-scoring tactical affair can get a standout price of 27/25 with 888Sport.

Reading vs Leeds Preview

Leeds continued their upwards trajectory with a last-gasp 2-1 victory at Kenilworth Road on Saturday night. The Hatters caused the visitors plenty of problems and Marcelo Bielsa’s side benefitted from a slice of luck when Matty Pearson put through his own net. Whites fans were delighted to see Liam Cooper return to the side and that is a huge boost going into a very busy period for the West Yorkshire club. Leeds’ away form is very solid, although they have only won one of their last five on the road. They’ve only lost twice (at Millwall and Charlton) and were only able to pick up a point at Deepdale and Hillsborough. This won’t be particularly easy for them, with Mark Bowen’s side likely to scrap away throughout this contest.

The Royals frustrated Brentford for large periods at the weekend, although the Bees eventually found a way through. Bowen’s men didn’t particularly create a lot going forward, but they rarely looked outclassed. At home, they’ve been able to play a little more on the front foot and that should help them in this contest. They tend to find the net here at the Madejski and only Charlton have prevented them from getting on the scoresheet so far this campaign. The hosts will be without regular right-back Andy Yiadom, who picked up his fifth yellow card of the campaign at Griffin Park. He is likely to be replaced by fan-favourite Chris Gunter and that enforced change is far from ideal.

Although Leeds won 3-0 here last season, the pair played out an entertaining 2-2 draw when they met in Berkshire twelve months earlier. I’m expecting another entertaining affair here with both teams finding the net once again.

Reading vs Leeds Predictions

Both Teams to Score has landed in three of Leeds’ last four away games whilst the hosts have found the net in every single home game since the end of August. With both sides having plenty of play for, it is likely to land again here and it’s 7/10 with Betway.  Although he tends to miss a whole host of chances, Patrick Bamford tends to do his best work away from Elland Road. The striker has scored five of his six goals outside of West Yorkshire and he is likely to be heavily involved once again. He’s 13/10 with Ladbrokes to find the net on Tuesday night.
