Swansea vs Fulham Betting Odds

Despite being the away side, Fulham look set to start as favourites for this Friday night fixture.

The Cottagers can be backed at 7/5 for success with the Scott Parker’s side searching for their fourth consecutive victory. Swansea remain unbeaten on the road, yet they cannot seem to pick up three points at the Liberty.

The Welsh side are 15/8 with Bet365 to end their barren run in front of their own fans.

The draw is likely to be popular and it can be backed at 13/5. Fulham have already drawn three times on the road. Swansea have been struggling to keep cleans sheets at home and it’s 4/7 for both teams to score in this tie. It’s now five matches since the hosts last kept the opposition off the score-sheet.

Swansea vs Fulham Preview

Bizarrely, a small section of Swansea fans have started to suggest that rookie manager Steve Cooper should be axed from his role. The coach is doing a superb job and has guided the cost-cutting Welsh side to fifth place despite losing a number of key players over the summer months. His side play with plenty of verve and energy and even in defeat (vs Millwall) they produced a number of chances and could easily have got something from the game. After looking extremely secure during the opening few weeks of the campaign, defensive errors have begun to creep in and they’ve conceded in each of their last four matches. With the exception of the last-gasp loss to Stoke, all of Swansea’s home defeats have come against fellow top ten sides.

They may be forced into a defensive reshuffle for this game with defender Mike Van der Hoorn leaving the pitch with an injury against Huddersfield in midweek. Cooper was upset at Frazier Campbell’s challenge on the Dutchman and his absence could be significant against a lively Fulham side. The Cottagers eased past Derby on Tuesday night and barely got out of second gear at Craven Cottage. They’ve now won three in a row and that includes a rare away win at St.Andrews. They also appear to have sorted out their defensive issues have now conceded just a single goal in their last three Championship outings. They’ve conceded just seven away goals this season and Swansea may struggle to find a way through. The hosts missed chances against Millwall and they’ll have to be far more clinical this time around.

Swansea vs Fulham Predictions

The visitors appear to be kicking into gear and although they are far from the finished product, they arrive here in good form. They should be able to take advantage of Swansea’s home woes and they can certainly capitalise on a nervy home crowd, who could get on their side’s backs if they concede early.

Fulham have looked more accomplished at the back (something we haven’t said for a while) in recent weeks and that should be enough to get something from this tie. They are 4/5 on the Draw No Bet and we’re taking the safety first approach to this Friday night fixture. Aleksandar Mitrovic returned in style on Tuesday night and he notched against Derby. The striker is far too good for this level and he looks the best bet in the anytime goalscorer market. He is 13/10 with Betfred to notch at any point during the 90 mins.
