West Brom vs Bristol City Betting Odds

Understandably, West Brom go into this game as overwhelming favourites. The leaders are in excellent form and find themselves unbeaten since suffering a 1-0 defeat to Leeds at the beginning of October.

The Baggies can be backed at 8/13 with various bookmakers to collect another three points and extend their advantage at the top. This won’t be easy for them with Bristol City possessing the fifth best away form in the division.

The Robins may only have won one of their last five matches on the road, yet they can be tricky customers away from Ashton Gate and are available at 5/1 on Wednesday night.

The draw, which is likely to be popular is available at 3/1 with William Hill.

WBA tend to keep clean sheets away from home, yet they continually concede at the Hawthorns and BTTS is short at around 8/13 here.

Over 2.5 Goals has landed in six of Bristol City’s nine away games this season and is priced at 6/10 with Ladbrokes.

West Brom vs Bristol City Preview

It was far from a vintage performance from the Baggies at the weekend. They were forced to dig in and collect three points against a stoic Sheffield Wednesday side and this midweek fixture could play out in a similar fashion. The Baggies created enough chances to win by a greater margin yet needed Sam Johnstone to make a couple of crucial stops to prevent Steven Fletcher from clinching a point for the Owls. It’s a quick turnaround for Slaven Bilic’s men and the boss may be tempted to rotate for this fixture.

Charlie Austin came off the bench and netted from the spot and he may replace the tireless Hal Robson Kanu for this one. Filip Krovinovic had his poorest game in a while and he may be given a midweek rest as a result. One player who is indispensible at the moment is the classy Mathius Pereira. The Brazilian midfielder chalked up yet another assist and continues to look head and shoulders above the majority of his Championship opponents. He’s now got seven assists and three goals for the season and is likely to be heavily involved once again.

Bristol City picked up a useful points against a decent Forest side. The Tricky Trees tend to travel well so it was a decent points although they will have been somewhat disappointing to have failed to find the net against ten men. It was backs against the wall for the visitors following Ryan Yates’ dismissal and Lee Johnson’s men couldn’t find a way through. Although they’re incredibly tough to beat, they have only won one of their last five away trips (in the Severnside derby) and have drawn three of their last four. They’ve lost just twice this season, although they will find it tough against a very competitive Albion.

They will be relying on Swedish winger Niclas Eliasson to create chances in this fixture. He has six assists to his name already this campaign.

West Brom vs Bristol City Predictions

There are always goals between these two sides whenever they meet. WBA ran out 4-2 winners when they met in September 2018 and although this may not be a six-goal thriller, we should see plenty of goalmouth action. The Baggies have won four times at home this season and they’ve come by a 2-1, 4-2, 4-2 and 3-2 scoreline. They usually find a way to edge games in front of their own fans and they’re certainly providing plenty of entertainment along the way.

West Brom and BTTS is 11/5 with Betfred and looks decent value for our West Brom vs Bristol City predictions.

It may also just be worth backing a few goals in this tie and the best way of obtaining value is to back Over 2.5 Goals and BTTS which is currently Evens with William Hill. This would have landed in each of WBA’s last six home matches and in four of the last five meetings between the clubs.
