Wigan vs Norwich predictions

Wigan vs Bristol City predictions and Championship betting tips for this Friday’s fixture. Kick-off is 7:45pm on the 21st of September and our tipster has selected three recommended bets.

Wigan vs Bristol City Predictions

The first of our football predictions on Friday night is for the game to end all-square. Paul Cook’s Wigan will be largely relying on their home form this season and they have picked up ten points from a possible twelve at the DW Stadium. Each of their successes have been by a one goal margin although they probably should have been further ahead against Hull in midweek. The Latics have only beaten sides below them in the table so far and they will find this a tough test. Bristol City’s inconsistent start to the season means that they are always difficult to predict but they are unlikely to leave the North West with nothing to show for it. They mounted a mini-comeback on Tuesday to but it wasn’t enough to take something against West Brom. The Robins’ defending left a lot to be desired in that game and they will need to tighten up ahead of this Friday night trip. There is rarely much between these sides when they meet although Bristol City have won each of the last two meetings. Wigan will take some budging at home and Bristol City may have to settle for a single point here. The first of our Wigan vs Bristol City predictions is Draw and this is available at 9/4 with 888Sport and you can use their £30 free bet on this betting tip.

Wigan vs Bristol City Both Teams to Score Odds

Games between these sides haven’t been rich with goals in recent years but neither side are defending effectively at the minute. Only Rotherham, who are notoriously poor travellers at this level, have failed to net at this stadium this season and Bristol City have plenty of firepower. Wigan have netted eight goals in four matches at the DW so far and they should be able to find a way past Niki Maenpaa. Lee Johnson’s side have developed an adaptability this season and they should be able to find the back of the net. They’ve also netted eight goals in four matches and Famara Diedhiou has returned to the side and is fit and firing once again. Both Teams to Score? Yes looks an obvious play in this game but it is available at 7/10 with William Hill. It is the second of our Wigan vs Bristol City predictions.

Wigan vs Bristol City Anytime Goalscorer Odds

There are a number of players in this match who stand a chance of finding the net in 90 minutes. Andreas Weimann has scored four of his five goals on the road this season and the aforementioned Famara Diedhiou is back in the side and looks sharp. Our anytime goalscorer tip is Michael Jacobs, who is available at 3/1 with Bet365. He has only scored two goals so far this season but they’ve both been at home and he always offers a threat from the left-hand side. The dynamic midfielder is a decent price to get on the score-sheet here and he is the third of our Wigan vs Bristol City predictions for Friday night.

Wigan vs Bristol City Betting Preview

Wigan Win – 11/10

Draw – 13/5

Bristol City Win – 5/2

Wigan’s home form has been impressive this season and it’s no surprise to see them priced up as favourites for this one. They can be backed at 11/10 to make it two victories inside four days at the DW. Paul Cook’s side haven’t been defensively sound this season but they possess a goal threat. Gavin Massey is the only notable absentee and although this is a quick turnaround, the Scouser should be able to select his strongest XI here. Bristol City have already won twice on the road this season. They took advantage of a QPR side who started the season slowly and they also edged past Swansea. They can be backed at 5/2 to pick up another three points here. Our tipster is predicting the game to end in a stalemate and that can be backed at 13/5.

Correct score backers may be tempted by the 1-1 score-line and that’s available at 11/2. The last time that these two sides drew with one another, it ended 2-2 and a repeat of that outcome is available at 12/1.

Will Grigg has enjoyed the step up to the Championship this time around and already has three goals to his name. He is 7/4 to score anytime in this fixture whilst his team-mate Nick Powell is priced at 15/8. The former Manchester United man has netted two of his three goals at home this season.
