England face Wales in their second group game of Euro 2016 and this game is set to take place on Thursday 16^th June with kick off set for 14:00. In the first game it appeared England had the three points already on the board, sleeping in the final minutes Russia floated a ball in with Joe Hart unable to get there it was nodded in and nestled in the back of the goal. A 1-1 result means England now only have one point in a game they should have won comfortably, the fans weren’t happy with the substitutions made by Roy and questions have since been asked why take five strikers and only play one? They need a win here if they want to top the group and the fans will expect nothing less, we have been waiting for this competition for months now and with such a big build up around the squad we don't want to go out without a fight.

Wales started their campaign in the best possible way, they have three points on the board after a 2-1 victory over Slovakia. Gareth Bale and Co played really well and confidence within the team must be sky high, the Welsh fans are right behind their team and with good reason. They have put themselves in a fantastic position of qualifying now and will think they can take points from England and Russia to finish top. They Welsh will be expecting big things now, especially from the star man Bale and they will be hoping he is the man to break the hearts of the English.

 

England are big favourites with the bookies and I can already see the Welsh having a little flutter on themselves at the odds of 6/1! I feel both teams are going to score here, England are the better side obviously and with the players available to them they have more quality throughout and more game changers, the likes of Kane, Vardy & Sturridge up front make them look very dangerous. Bale is the obvious goal threat for Wales and he has already netted in the competition, they do have other play makers in the squad in Ramsey and Allen who offer something different by playing in the middle of the park and putting balls through to the strikers. Against Russia England had plenty of chances to put the game to bed, they are capable of creating plenty of chances and they are going to have plenty in this game too, all we want is our front men to be able to convert this time. Harry Kane started up front in the last game and it’s obvious why, he is England's best striker and has once again had a terrific season. He didn't manage to get on the scoresheet in the last game but will want to get a few goals in this tournament and given the chances he has the composure to put one or two away.
