Turkey vs Sweden Betting Tips, Predictions and Preview
Turkey v Sweden predictions, betting tips and preview for tonight’s International friendly where both teams will be looking ahead to Euro 2016 this summer.
It’s off to Istanbul on Thursday night for this International Friendly as Sweden face Turkey and our football tipster has picked three bets for the match.
Turkey vs Sweden Predictions
Both these sides failed to finish in the top two of their respective qualifying groups. But, Turkey finished as best third placed side and were pleased to avoid the play-offs.
The play-offs didn’t faze Sweden though as they are now unbeaten in six and look dangerous opposition for any side at the moment and they aren’t too bad on the road either.
This run includes the play-off matches against Denmark in which they won 4-3 on aggregate and a friendly win over Finland.
Their last defeat came in September when they were battered by Austria, who are looking like a decent proposition coming into the summer tournament.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the obvious star in the line-up and whilst the PSG man isn’t getting any younger, he is still a huge talent and could cause plenty of problems for the Turkish defence, and for the teams along with Sweden in Group E at Euro 2016.
You have to go all the way back to November 2014 to find the last time Turkey were defeated and that explains the short price about the home side. Istanbul is never an easy place to come as The Netherlands, Iceland and Bulgaria all found out recently.
With Fatih Terim at the helm, Turkey look hard to beat and they are unbeaten in four here in Istanbul. I’m struggling to see a Sweden win, but this one could end up all square. A poor Greece side held Turkey to a 0-0 draw here recently and surely the Swedes have plenty more to offer going forward.
Two of the last three meetings between these sides have finished level and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the same outcome again for my football betting tips.
The first of my Turkey v Sweden predictions is for the match to finish a Draw. It can be backed at 5/2 with Betfair.
Sweden have been playing openly in recent matches. There have been plenty of goals in games involving them and both sides have found the net in three of the last four matches. They hit three against Finland, but the Fins don’t have a huge amount of firepower, so it wasn’t a surprise to see Sweden keep a clean sheet that day. The second of my Turkey v Sweden predictions is for Both Teams to Score? Yes. It can be backed at 6/5 with 888Sport.
