Will this Euro 2016 star prove a success at Manchester City?
After witnessing his side face a rather unceremonious exit from Euro 2016 at the hands of Antonio Conte’s Italy, newly acquired Manchester City man – Nolito – simply has it all to prove within the Premier League next season.
The former Barcelona and Benfica wide-man served to set the Spanish La Liga alight last term via a series of impressive performances with Celta de Vigo. He may have only set his notoriously wealthy new employers back close to £13 million in recent weeks, but even that seemingly won’t stop some Manchester City fans from feeling the transfer-fuelled excitement this summer.
Many have since expressed their sheer joy at the recent Nolito capture…
Welcome home Nolito. Great signing Pep. #WeAreCity #MCFC

…even if his transfer could indeed signal less than promising news for a few other high profile wingers still trying to make a name for themselves at the Etihad…
Tbh Raheem Sterling should've stay in Liverpool, now that Nolito and Gundogan is in Man City and competition is getting tougher..

Some Euro 2016 onlookers have nonetheless cast a shade of doubt over the recent move…
Nolito will flop at Man City, next season he will be sharing the bench with Bony.

…especially as Nolito has seemingly just burst onto the scene after a largely uneventful few years at the top…
When is Pep going to act in the transfer market?
Gundogan is a great signing. Nolito average.— John Raphael (@RaphaelJohn13) 3 July 2016
Manchester United also have reason to brush aside Nolito’s potential influence among the Premier League next season…
Nolito is a great signing for City… but he is no Zlatan! 😛#ManUtd #GGMU

…yet even in light of a few clear shortcomings, surely the fiery Spanish international is bound to excite sooner rather than later…
Nolito is a good signing. Man knows Pep's system,is a creative player and has great end product. But he's weak as hell tbh

So then, whilst the former Barcelona man could possibly flop within the grandest circumstances possible in 2016/17…
The great thing about @ManCity signing Nolito is the fact they can now have an inconsistent Spanish winger on either side. #ThePepEffect

…on the back of his strong performances at Euro 2016, such an outcome seems somewhat unlikely in the end…
#Nolito was pretty impressive in the #Euro2016.. V v good signing by #ManCity
