Fantasy Football Gameweek 35 Advice for a Captain Pick

Fantasy Football tips

There are options aplenty once again with favourable fixtures for Manchester City, Liverpool, Leicester and Manchester United, but who should you choose as your Fantasy Football Gameweek 35 captain?

Here’s our look at three of the best picks for Gameweek 35+

Option 1 – Bruno Fernandes (9.0m) vs Southampton

Bruno Fernandes delivered once again in Gameweek 34+ with a 14-point haul against Aston Villa. The Portuguese international scored from the spot and assisted another to take his tally to seven goals and six assists. Fernandes recently became only the seventh player in Premier League history to win back-to-back Player of the Month awards.

Fernandes has blanked in just two of his ten games since arriving. Manchester United are up against midtable Southampton next. The Saints are safe and have little to play for but have been in decent form. Hassenhuttl’s side haven’t lost in three and recently beat Manchester City 1-0.

It’s perhaps not the best fixture but Manchester United’s excellent form and Bruno Fernandes’ incredible consistency make him an option worthy of consideration once again.

Option 2 – Kevin De Bruyne (10.8m) vs Brighton

Another consistent point scorer is the current joint-top FPL point scorer. Kevin De Bruyne added another assist as he kept ticking over with another six points. However, having started the last gameweek, KDB could be in line for another rest this time around.

De Bruyne has scored three and assisted three since the restart. Across the entire season, KDB has scored 11 and assisted 21. Guardiola’s selections are the major caveat when considering De Bruyne. He has been rested twice already since the restart and has failed to deliver in any of his three sub appearances this season.

Brighton have conceded three to Manchester United and Liverpool in their last three games and were beaten 4-0 in the reverse fixture. KDB scored last time around to further his appeal.

Option 3 – Mo Salah (12.5m) vs Burnley

Jurgen Klopp’s team selections have remained reasonably consistent since securing the title, giving us confidence that Mo Salah will start. The Egyptian scored a brace and added an assist in an 18-point gameweek to draw him level with De Bruyne in the FPL points tally.

Salah has scored 19 and assisted 9 this season and could be in line to make it three successive campaigns as the FPL’s highest scorer.

Burnley have been an excellent form of late but are certainly vulnerable to a heavy defeat against the league’s top sides. The Clarets recently lost 5-0 to Manchester City and have conceded three or more on five occasions against the current top three.
